They were incredibly slow in dealing with LVG who was bat sh!t and clearly not progressing the team. It was our move for Pep that forced them to 'upgrade'. On the basis that there is no clear alternative I see PEG getting a decent run this season where the only point they will act is if they look nailed on for outside the top 4. With the start Arse have made they should be a minimum of 5th for the most part and I think that might be enough for the board to justify doing nothing.

Avram Grant's already taken one post-Mourinho mess to a CL final. I think I'd prefer my chances if they got someone who's a good fit like Holloway or Warnock.

I’m not convinced that Zizou is a top manager. Yes, he won the Champions' League, but I could have managed that Réal Madrid side.

I don't know about Zidane and the Real team as I have never managed a football club in my life, I have no idea about tactics, formations, a players best position or how to couter an opponents playing style. So apart from never managing a club it seems me and Peg are exactly the same...........oh wait this thread is to save Peg, sorry.

Look at their league form last year. He's a good manager but I don't think this job will be the right one at the right time for himI'm not so much as sure that they were flukes, more that he had a sqaud full of world class players who were leaders.

He's not had to build a sqaud yet and this united sqaud is nearing a point where they're largely going to need to rebuild.
Not saying he'd be as bad as Mourinho but I think it might take him a while to get his perfect sqaud and get then playing the way he wants.

Trouble is, the longer the death by a thousand cuts goes on with Moanio, any new manager is doomed as the fans will not have any patience for a rebuild and will expect instant success. Great times over at the swamp

Arse had two very hard fixtures and are bound to improve.
If there's a real danger of finishing outside top 4, Peg's execution date will be sooner rather than later. With the wage structure in operation, interest payments on debt, dividend payments to Glazers and falling revenues from sponsorship deals, the club won't wait a whole season before they try to salvage the situation.
I wouldn't be surprised if Peg is axed before the end of October. In fact I wonder if a provisional decision hasn't already been made. Next 4 matches crucial. Personally, I hope Peg stays around as long as possible.

If they're struggling in the chumps league however but who'd bet against them getting Lokomotiv out of pot one. At the end of the day we're streets ahead of them and I can't see that changing for the next few years PEG or no PEG

After a quick look at the fixtures -

Spurs home - tough and probs lose then.
Burnley away
watford away
wolves home
west ham away
newcastle home

They should get enough of a run together to push up the table a bit, the away games will help ease the pressure. As per my original post the board will avoid taking action as long as possible, if Zidane or whoever is on standby he i not going anywhere else so there is no pressure on that front.
