Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Brazilians are poor in the prem league as a whole, Savinho will probably follow suit. Great technique but very disappointing end product
He seems like a speed merchant, I thought he would improve with coaching as Doku seems to have done. Sav is similar to Nicolas Jackson. I am not sure if we should sell him or not.

When you've got Dias, Gvardiol, Khusanov and Reis (who we've had to loan) it's a bit of a needless surplus that creates issues elsewhere in the squad.

I think you're missing my point is we should have actually moved Akanji, which we're apparently comfortable telling Grealish and McAtee.

Who says Akanji wants to leave?

He's a regular in Pep's lineups and seems completely settled.

I am quite surprised that City are willing to sell him, whilst Savinho is not the finished article he certainly has potential. If this deal goes through I hope it does n't come back to bite us on the arse in the future.

Players are just commodities these days. City is a profit centre for CFG. Everything and everybody is for sale at the right price.

I've seen glimpses and hopefully he can start to show it week in week out but atm I don't rate him as highly as many on here do.

Seen somebody mention today he'll be better than Sane based on absolutely nothing and firstly he doesn't have the pace of a Leroy.

I like Bobb and honestly hope he does become this superstar but we hear it way to often and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't turn out that way.

Big season ahead for the kid that's for sure.
If Bobb has an up and down season and doesn't get regular starting game time, he'll be open for a move in 12 months time in exactly the same way as Savinho apparently is.

Khusanov is our 3rd best CB unless stones is fully fit imo.

If you think all these sales and buys and who's staying and who's going seems perfectly aligned mate, fair enough

Im happy to take the opposite view.

Our 3rd best? if you say so.

We can't just have a team full of teens and early 20 year old players we need a balance.

As stated before, there will be a reason why Reis has gone out on loan. We know why we can't sell Stones when he can go for free in 12 months, Ake is too injury prone. The only sellable out of the 3 you mentioned is Akanji but he doesnt want to go and the club seem to think he is fit for a purpose.

Would I prefer some of signings from January get more game time? Absolutely, but then its ony Reis & Khushanov who haven't had the game time some may have hoped for.

Like i said before, Reis doesnt speak English, so why not let him go where he has to develop his game.

But not selling 3 CB's who are 30 years old has meant we are selling Savinho is alot of pish. Especially considering two of them are classed as home grown.

Club dont want to have a situation like Chelsea have, they effectively had two squads last year

This question is solely down to what the alternative is, if we are not replacing him or his replacement isn't a significantly superior player then no. Sav has a lot of upside potential and he's young, I imagine most viable replacements wont have that

Depends on the fee.

We’ve got ample cover out there: Foden, Cherki, Bernardo and Bobb.

If Savinho could shoot, he’d be amazing. He hasn’t shown signs of improving on that front.

He is young though..

Swap for Van Der Ven?
Apple cover ? Your only natural wingers are Bobb and Doku. One broke his leg. The other has small injuries during the season. One injury and we’re washing eyes with bleach for Bernardo RW
It’s a World Cup year, will start every week there.

Clearly not as valued by City as we thought and with Bobb and Cherki the game time is getting even lower.
hes played 3000 mins. 7th most used player last season. Played the most mins out of anyone in CWC. He got plenty game time

For a 21 year old in his first season at a new club in a new country I think he showed more than enough to want to keep him. Surrounded by a more settled team I’d expect him to kick on if we do hold onto him. Fee being mentioned seems too low for me
