Scarblu - Colin Martin

Re: Scarblu

A top bloke with an infectious personality..................sadly missed.

Can't believe it was three years ago.

Re: Scarblu

Quite simply the funniest poster i have ever seen on any message board and in real life a true gentlemen with a warm heart and a genuine love of his wife, children and the club we all love.

He was also a typical Yorkshireman, he would text me as his train was getting into Piccadilly so i got the first round in lol

Me and him along with TBA were the first Mods Ric appointed on here and he was a natural at the job, always fair and always humourous, he had this amazing ability to quell disagreements with a devastating one liner or strange story.

I miss you mate,

Joanne my thoughts are with you and and the girls today

Re: Scarblu

Again thanks to Ric for posting this.

Colin was a star , a gentleman, and nutty as a fruit cake. I echo all the sentiments that have been posted by others here, he is still much missed and often remembered.

shell vases
underpaid imagiary secretarys
satchels
multiple lost mobile phones , culminating in it being on a strap round his neck
setting off for work , going the wrong way and ending up at the cricket club
second in the queue for beer ;-)

............... and that mad man gave me the name Mcnil.

Re: Scarblu

Thank you to you all for remembering him. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.

Love and miss you every day Colin. Forever in our thoughts.

Joanne xx

Re: Scarblu

Being a relatively new member, I wasn't privileged enough to have met or seen him post on here, but judging by the comments here he seemed a top bloke. RIP.

The boards are a sadder place without him.

His ghost story was scary tho'.

Yes , when Scarblu left us , a little piece of Bluemoon left too ..... he was a top guy , and was obviously well respected by early posters on this board ...... and yes , that 'ghost' story he told in his final hours was eerie to say the least ... but may well have been a 'sign' of what was to follow.

I'd like to dedicate this beautiful song to him , if i may .........

Morning of my Life ...... Bee Gees.

Hey Joanne...we've never met but Sharon speaks of you whenever I see her. It's nice to see you kept Scar's login. Feels like part of him will always be around here. And for me anyway, in amongst the nonsense that can go on on messageboards, it's a sobering reminder of whats important. Friends and family. All the best...

Re: Scarblu

Colin is sadly missed here,he was without doubt the best poster on any board. As well as his footballing comments his stories were hilarious and his replys to others was always worth reading.Scarblu was always a name to look out for, quality.
Thoughts are with Joanne and the girls.
