What happened to your brother?

Stupidly enough, he used to sleep round a lot of his friends houses and when he was there was using cocaine and other substances. In the end. he had a heart attack because of his drug use and the doctors told my mum.

OK firstly I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your brother. That is an incredibly tough thing to have to deal with at your age and I hope that you have and use all the support of your friends and family in terms of dealing with your grief.

At a more practical level - have you been checked-out medically to ensure that you are not at risk yourself? It is not unreasonable for your GP to make sure that any medical issues are identified and dealt with. A clean bill of health from the medics would then give you some re-assurances and confidence and hopefully help you deal with your anxiety.

Been to the doctors multiple times as might have arthritis in my wrists but no other problems that i know of

Sounds like you've been through a lot with your brother, to come so close to losing someone so close must be awful but at least you've learned a lesson through him and made the choice not to take such risks with your health.

Living in fear is a horrible existence and I really hope this anxiety passes for you. If you're finding it impossible to shake or obsessing over it, there's all kinds of help out there. But death is something which touches us all and there's no point in fear for its own sake. In the words of Jim Morrison, 'No-one here gets out alive'.

Enjoy life while you can .
That's good to read. It must be a great relief for you and your family.

I have lost 28 people who were very close to me in the last 20 years both family and friends, 10 were Blues I have known for donkeys years, 2 were since Christmas, I have come to realise we are not immortal so I do not fear it anymore
Jesus fucking Christ......I've only known one member of my family die in the last 15 years, and the only other person I knew who died was 30 years ago!

Bm98 your op made me want to give you a big hug then a slap! At 15 you should be worrying about spots and whether that girl you've had your eye on fancies you back, the shit loads of homework you haven't done etc.

Having said that I was so very lucky in that no one close to me died until I was the grand old age of 44 then I lost my little brother.

All I can say is don't be scared of dying, just worry about real every day stuff and take comfort from the fact that in your brothers memory you will swerve the whole danger of taking drugs

Listen to some happy music, not being flippant I know worries at 15 are massive but really when you get to your early 20's it will all be so different - trust me I know!

Everybody dies. It's a fact of life.

Stop worrying, worry about it when you're dying.
