Scariest away day following City

Not seen Jimmy for a long while now, hope he is OK
RIP, George a true gentleman, friend, city legend.
George did so much for so many city fans around the Fallowfield and Rusholme area, running coaches to nearly every away game for many years from the Parkside.
God bless George and all you're family,Babs Mary,Esther and Jimmy .
Clarkie xx

Sad to hear this he was a great character George. He once pretended to be my dad as I attempted to chat up some locals on a South coast stopover either Bouremouth or Brighton 88/89 season. He came to mind earlier in the thread when the 88 QF against Everton was mentioned. He literally bounced off the coach that night pumped up I remember Jimmy and a couple of others trying to calm him down. RIP

Great character, he tried to get to a Southampton game on his scooter late 60's or early 70's, not sure if he made it. R.I.P. GEORGE.

Sheffield United in 1984 - my first City away without an adult (I was 14). It booted off left right and centre, before and after the match. Everywhere you went pre and post match, you could hear that roar that sounds like it was booting off round the corner. After that, I was immune and wasn't phased by anything I saw.

Someone posted a few pages back re the full member's cup. The coach was raided by half of London just after we left the car park. It was Arthur Camble(sp?) from Princess road who ran it(still looks fuckin young). He stormed a Chelsea open decker on his tod on the way in. We were met with knives and punches pokin in our emergency exit door at the back of the coach. Comin out was fuckin brutal
