I have always thought it was ridiculous that any Spanish referee is assigned to one of Pep’s CL matches (Bayern or City) — much great likelihood of bias (positive or negative). They should all be excluded under the potential conflict of interest exemption.

Potential problems:

1) Schalke's Cup Final...a bit like Lyon game only even more so, whereas for City it's another in a long line of games. Are we going to be able to give it the intensity and concentration required?

2) Refereeing. These games are very tactical and players are great actors and claim everything.
