The one fixture that isn't random is the opening day fixture as the previous seasons Champions always start at home. In theory we should have been at home after being away for the last 4.

It will be good for us to have a tough start - get the players and management a reality check on how much they have to put in. An easy win may have led us to be over-confident

It will be good if we can come out of it with 4 points. But I suspect most managers would prefer to be eased into a new season with Newcastle at home than Spurs away.
