It is ok you know, to praise someone who has given the game what Scholes has given to it. Yeah he can't tackle and maybe he does know what he's doing there, but 14/15 seasons with the same club, never fucking about outside the game, perfect pro etc etc etc, that is allowed to be commented on even if its a united player.gio's side step said:9 pages dedicated to Scholes.
Get a fckin grip. He's played a charity game and a game against a championship side. I'd have looked like Xavi against Barton and Smith last night.
Mate, as a blue, I am always honest, and have always maintained that Scholes is the best english player of the last 20 years. Without a doubt. A great football brain, intelligence, awareness and passing ability. His ability to also arrive late in the box especially early in his career, his ability to always score in big games, and his ability to score headers, tap ins, volleys, and shots from 25 yards, and the fact that he appears to just want to play football and doesnt give a toss about being a celebrity has always stood out. So I have given him more than praise.
However, this reaction to a performance in a charity game and against that ridiculous Newcastle side from last night, doesnt in my opinion warrant a thread. It's a knee jerk reaction. No better than Sky punditry. I sincerely doubt we will be continuing this praise against any of the top sides, a. because he likely wont start, and b. if he does, he will be found out like last season.
Great player he was. Great player he now is not. Hence, why 9 pages today is slightly ridiculous
