Politicised kids who are demanding, rightfully, to be heard.
It’s only right then to expect them to know exactly what it is they want to happen and ask if they too are prepared to give up the very things they love the most and revolve their lives around.
Yet again we have a thread on here where the gammons are being blamed yet it’s the generation that protested today that is hungry for the tech that is quickly becoming the biggest impactor on the environment.
If they where in school they might have learnt that ;-)

Fair enough but these kids have decided to do something, we just offer them platitudes. Plus if governments decide to use tech, they’ll be costs and we’ll complain.
You mean they're not responsible for the excesses of the last century and government environmental policy in the present day? 'Kinell.Haha, tbf it is quintessentially “gammon” to blame the kids for the environmental issues we face today ;)

But you are not answering the questions that are being posed of you Ric. If they are so keen on the environment why wont they change their own behaviours first ? That would at least give them a bit of credibility. They wont because it would be far too uncomfortable for them.
But they are kids who would probably baulk at actually making difficult changes to their own lives to help the environment. They are the generation that are more attached to gadgets and comfort than any of those before them. So it is more than a bit audacious of them to lecture us about the impact of what we are doing. At least until they come out of their own addictions.
How do you know the kids protesting today won’t change their behaviours?
Youre ad hominen remark is irrelevant, simply because it steps besides the actual issue. So who is it then who has the right to protest about the enviroment, only the homeless and impoverished?
People will talk you down if you try to ignore the actual important issue by shooting the messenger, and with good cause.
