Scott Parker

Good solid player and deserves to be playing for a club higher in the league.

Is he better than anything we have? No, not at all.

Talking about players we were linked with, what about Steve Sidwell.
He turned us down, went to Chelsea and did an SWP.
 
The beauty of this game is that it's all about opinions and I just don't get the fuss over Scott Parker. I think he was a promising kid who was always just short of being a top class player and remains so for me.

I am trying to recall all the games he's played against us and taken our team apart with this range of passing, tackling, pace (very questionable) and reading of the game. Sure, he is good in posession and runs round in tidy but tiny little circles with the ball apparrently stuck to his feet but I have yet to see him have a really great run of good games. Stands out as a good player in a poor team similar to Barton under Pearce. Just my opinion.

Although he very rarely gets mentioned I think Mark Noble is a talented player too. He can get a bit lost for West Ham sometimes but I suspect he’s a footballer who would flourish when put in a side where he has other good players around him. As a clever passer of the ball I think he’d be a good fit for our squad.

He does. Good player though like you say.
 
I think he's done the right thing, he has been a reliable, first name on the teamsheet type player, adored by the fans, rather than let himself become another promising Sturridge/Sidwell/Benayoun type who moves, doesn't play and ends up going backwards.
