I never said parker is better than Barry but, i just think for what england NEED, parker does it better than Barry.
Ive never said barry is shit but he is not 10 times the player parker is..thats just fucking stupid.
When you watch your team day in n out, you do realise barry is a really good footballer but you might stretch it.
saying "mancini could replace him but doesnt" doesnt mean shit. You cant say that just because someone starts in a championship winning team, they are "world class or the team couldnt have done it without em"

If Parker was so good why has it taken him until he is 31 years of age a bad run of injuries to the England sqaud to be getting anywhere near it. The fact of the matter is if Barry was fit he would be picked ahead of him and you would have to say this is the worst England squad certainly in my lifetime.

This thread isn't about jumping on a bandwagon or hating Scott Parker, it is pointing out that just because he has a side parting and old-style boots and runs about like a headless chicken on smack, doesn't make him what England have been crying out for. He's the only choice after better players, Championship-winning players, have been injured. If Barry or Frank Grandpa were fit, Scott Parker would be nowhere near the squad.
He was cruelly exposed for what he is during the game against France. Average. NOT the Xavi-esque footballing demi-God Spurs and the gutter press have made him out to be.

i honestly think the same about Parker who is getting slated on here, as a west ham season ticket holder ive seen enough of him to know his more than just workrate, hes a class player.

was watching the Spain Ireland game tonight with a Spurs mate/fan and I commentated on how England lacked any of the flair that Spain have....he then stated that we have ..................SCOTTY PARKER......words failed me along with the rest of the pub....
As a Spurs fan, I was a bit annoyed by his displacement of Sandro in our team. Personally I have high hopes for Sandro and Livermore, who are much better players on the ball, and Parker's reluctance to pass forward and the way he slows down attacks ended up getting on my nerves. He's brilliant as a backs to the wall player though. But not so suited to our style imo, and our midfield was far less dominant this season with Parker, than the last few seasons when either Huddlestone or Sandro were partnering Modric.
