Scott Parker

I hate the way he's built up in media as a tough nut when all the time u see him going down wincing and crying like a girl. The other day someone prodded him in the check with a finger and he was on the ground like a sack of spuds!

Injury concerns over Gerard and Parker (shocking). Media goes into frenzy over what to do (shocking).

Why is it so hard to see the obvious solution is to move Milner into centre mid, his best position? (also shocking, I know... Sarcasm reigns supreme)

Idiots, the lot of them. Hope Roy sees the light.

If you put Milner in the middle Johnson will look even more shit defensively

As much as I hate the fucker... The only option if England's appointed messiah Parker is unfit, is to put jones on with Milner and him protecting the back four and dropping in when the fullbacks go forward (I'm aware Johnson is shite, a problem we know shouldn't even be a problem, had the right personell been called up).

Gerrard up the field.

Yep that the best option

Hmmm, don't quite understand the hatred for Parker on here.

I mean yeah he's another English player who gets hyped up by our wonderful Media but he's certainly not shit.

I don't hear negative stories about him banded about, nor do you hear him slagging off other players/clubs. He just seems like a decent bloke who gives 100% every game.

Just because he's no Makelele or Essien doesn't mean he's shit. I, for one, think he's a very hand player at this level.

I'll continue the trend of going against the grain here aswell because I actually thought Glen Johnson played pretty well against France and I was, like many on here and everywhere, was pissed off when he got the nod as our #1 RB ahead of Richards.

Wow! Agree on both accounts, don't get the Parker hatred and was also surprised by Johnson's performance, had a shaky start but did fairly well.

An international defender should be able to defend. Johnson is a poor defender. To add to that, he does not look fit enough.

As for Parker, he is an extremely limited footballer. The most flattering thing I can say about him is that he is a pest to the opposition. However, at international level you expect a middielder to have a bit more in his locker. His passing is poor, he does not read the game very well, he is not a goal threat, is ineffective at linking defence with the attack and he appears unable to create anything. We may as well replace with a road hump.

Saying that, I thought he played as well as he can expect to against France, even though he was not close to being one of England's best players. I'd rather Jones playing in midfield as it would add a bit of pace and drive to the team.

Scotty PArker - a lion of man, so ruddy bloody brave

It's a wonder he's able to play at all after the nasty, vicious assault by Balotelli that was in danger of being in proximity to his chiselled features
