Lets hope that Swansea chairman is on the money. Sinclair is no better than anything we already have.

We need pace and width up top, but somebody of far better quality than him. Sinclair would be a great signing .... for someone like Everton, but not for a CL club with ambitions to add to a title winning squad.

Can you explain why we need pace and width up front
Because we had a couple month period where other clubs had done a good job figuring us out before the late season tiredness sat in allowing us once more to mount successful attacks.

If we wanted a winger happy to sit on the bench, Jefferson Farfan would have been good. He was available for nothing but signed a new contract with Schalke so would cost probably £8million-ish now. Has Champions League experience too and was part of the Schalke team that made the CL semis season before last.

What by playing a 6-4 formation backed up on the edge of their 18 yard box how is speedy winger going to operate in that confined space against 2-3 defenders

It wasn't just that they were at the edge of their box. They weren't even bothering to defend against crosses because they weren't coming in well enough and they weren't putting two men out in case the first defender got beat. They put one defender out wide on our fullback and that was it. Fortunately, we got a well-rested Tevez back and Silva's injury healed and Yaya recovered from ACON and all the other factors. We play seriously narrow because our wide play isn't well respected. There's a reason we flirt with signing a winger every summer. Remember the key to pace for most wingers is over the first ten yards.

Still maintain we will win enough without wingers. We have enough quality out wide. Although I quite like Sinclair and AJ but they will never play in our team as out and out wingers, wide midfield players yes.

At the start of the window we were looking to sign Hazard (potential world class) 12 weeks later we are after Sinclair, has the fucking oil run out?????? :-(

We did sign that kid from Lazio, didn't we? (I think he's a winger.)
