Are people underwhelmed because he's not Messi?

Decent player for a decent fee, what's the problem?
If Mancini see's the need for a winger as a priority, then we could do better than Sinclair.

How many wingers would sit 28 league games regardless of Cup competitions with a pedigree better than Sinclair?
I don't understand what you mean?

Like who?
Players like Mertens, heck even Nani, and as has been said Dyer was better for Swansea last season (not saying we should go for him, just highlighting that he is in fact better than Sinclair) even Moses.

Even then, AJ isn't exactly much worse than him.

If he does sign I'l support him whole heartedly but you can't honestly think he's the best we can do?

We don't play with wingers. Don't need him.
We played quite a few times with a winger either Johnson on the right or Balo on the left, neither did very well at it though which is why we're after Sinclair I presume.
Then why not get an 18/19 year old kid with huge potential instead of another average winger.
Ask Mancini not me

we are obviously worried about the pennis and the fact we are struggling to get rid of cunts like adebayor. if we can get gim for 5.5 plus add ons going up to 8 i would be happy he has room for improvement and is better than johnson. and for once a little pace on the wings

He is in no way an improvement on anyone in our squad.

Don't get this signing at all. Complete waste of money.

Of course he's not the best winger we could get. However, it seems like he ticks the most boxes.

-Inexpensive
-Young
-Homegrown
-Willing to be benched/acceptance he won't be a regular starter
-Pacey
-Genuine winger (unlike Johnson) so would provide a Plan B
-Premiership experience

It's all very well and good plucking a young reasonably cheap winger for Germany, but he wouldn't fulfil all the criteria that we require, as outlines above. Sinclair makes perfect sense IMO. He will not sell shirts for us, but we are not the new Galcticos, nor does the board want us to be, being the prudent businessmen they have proven themselves to be.
