Scott Sinclair

he is a pretty poor player

Mancini sees him day in day out at training and prefers to play fullbacks as wingers instead of playing Sinclair, says it all really

for people saying they feel sorry for him, he is on over 50k a week and his job is training with the City team

anyone who watched him play before he signed for us could have told you he wasnt good enough for City, a very strange signing indeed, unless Bobby has been promised a go on his other half

he will be here a couple of years then move somewhere else while City still pay some of his wages

Fucking joke signing and whoever authorised this shouldn't be working for us anymore.

Scott Sinclair is never likely to want to leave , the money's too good , and Rosies family live in the area .... this was a great move for the both of them.

You couldn't realistically say that , from what we've seen of him so far , he's any real improvement on the departed Adam Johnson , some would probably argue that he's even inferior .... Adam Johnson scored a great goal for Sunderland yesterday ...... Sinclair seemed to be signed as direct replacement for Johnson , rather than someone who was brought in to 'purposely' improve the squad.

he is worse...

The best thing we could do right now is loan him out to Palace for the rest of the season as part of the deal with us signing Zaha.

city are in the market for a young winger to replace (and better) the out going johnson... they go for sinclair at 6-7mil, when victor moses heads off to chelski for what? 1-2 million more?

shame, by signing sinclair and getting rid of AJ, we've weakened as AJ is a FAR superior player

He was signed to replace AJ - who also never featured very much due to the narrow formation we deploy. The only width comes from the fullbacks - not wingers. A completely pointless signing.

Marwood's pride wouldn't allow him to sign Moses as it would mean that he'd have to concede that he fucked up in the first place by choosing AJ over Moses.

I think we should've signed Junior Hoillet instead of Sinclair.

This is an interesting take on Sinclair - sums up a few of the feelings i've read in this thread and elsewhere on the board recently

A lot of people on here need to lay off Sinclair and give him a chance FFS. He started off at Chelsea and didn't make the grade and then moved to a lower league side to work his way back up. He was key to Swansea's promotion and then had a good season in the top flight and IMO has DESERVED the opportunity to play for City. He is never gonna be a world beater and is never going to be a Hazard or Sanchez but he knows what it is like to fail to make the cut at a big club and the fact he feels that he is ready to play for City should be an example for all players to follow. I'm fed up of hearing this bullshit about players moving for money, they are not guaranteed to start and they are just a bench warmer. The fact is if a player does not move to a big club because he would prefer to be a first team player in a mid table club then IMO he does not deserve to play for a big club. If a player is confident in his ability and feels he is good enough then he will take the move.

Sinclair obviously feels that he has a role to play for as and we should be praising him for having the confidence to try and make the grade at a top club than settling for an average career. Same goes for Rodwell.
