I think he shone being in and amongst good/average players within a good team.. at city with the quality of player we now have in our starting 11 the bar has been raised and he's gone from playing with good players to playing with world class players and so he doesn't stand out like he did, and frankly he just looks very very average in our team, but perhaps at somewhere like Newcastle he'd look class?

The Swansea fans didn't seem disappointed he'd gone and this was the player who scored a hat trick in the Play Off Final to secure Premiership football for them.

They just replaced him with Pablo Hernandez from Valencia who cost less than what they got for Sinclair and has been better than Sinclair was last season. Some of our transfer dealings have been ridiculous, it's NOT hard to find a cheap decent winger in Europe, there are quite a few of them... Sinclair was one of the laziest signings ever without exaggeration.

I think his signing smacked of desperation but he was also a player who helped the home grown quota in the squad. He was perhaps on the list but way down behind names like Hazard and De Rossi.

Let's put this into perspective - he was 'pretty good' at a pretty average premiership team. He's in the same bracket of wingers as your nathan dyer's of this world, your jermaine pennants, your chris brunts, james mcleans, charles n'zogbia, matthew etherington etc. He's way below the likes of aaron lennon, ashley young, probably even downing, none of whom are of the standard we should be looking to sign.

You'd have to say that he's hardly any improvement on Adam Johnson , and you should only sign players who'll actually 'improve' your squad ...... in fact , for my money , Johnson's a better player .

I doubt we wanted to sell AJ in the first place, probably more like AJ wanted to leave. Unlike Sinclair, Mancini saw something in AJ - AJ didn't live up to it.

I fucking do! In fact, I don't see any reason why he should play in these games? Shop window I suppose but that's it. I don't want to turn up to games having paid good money to see some useless no hoper repeatedly run to the by line before having the ball taken off him when we've got talented players actually good enough to warrant a game
