Yep , just about sums it up .....

as with Adam Johnson before him , Mancini doesn't appear to trust him , and that's probably his biggest problem.

I think he was just bought to provide Mancini with another body who could play on the wing. He was never in Mancini's overall plans, and so it has proved.

Here's a thought. We signed a player that we thought would either be a good signing for the future or, we signed a player thinking that he was a good player for now. We realised that we made a mistake and so the manager doesn't feel he is good enough to play for us right now. Sounds a bit more likely than Mancini was trying to teach the owners a lesson, don't you think. By the way, who are our scouts these days? Everyone is blaming Mancini or Marwood, are they not advised by people?

Seriously, I can't see what Scott has done wrong, he's never had a real chance to show what he can do....

Have to agree and I feel sorry for him. He came on and did fuck all against Barnsley but is it any wonder? He knows his opportunities are going to be very limited no matter what so as soon as he comes on he knows he has to score a hat trick and get another three assists or he won't play the next week. You can't expect any player to be at his most confident with the odd brief appearance here and there.

He may well not be good enough but we'll probably never know. The league is clearly gone now to even the most optimistic City fan and I don't think Mancini has anything to lose by putting Scott in the team between now and the end of the season(except for the cup games maybe) and assuring him he will get a proper chance. If he doesn't take it and has still made zero impact by the end of the season with little pressure on him, THEN we can safely say he's not good enough and is "stealing a living".

I can't see it happening though.
