New contract for Derek McInnes. 3.5 year extension taking him to 2026. Follow on from some 'behind the scenes' appointments during the week.

Clearly some long term planning at the club for the first time since Jefferies (or possibly Shiels) was in charge. Been a scatter approach to everything and anything since then so whilst I'm sceptical about McInnes credentials I'm happy that the club are doubling down to an extent and clearly showing a long term approach with stability at the forefront.

Thank god we dodged the Derek McInnes bullet. The only place he’s taking Kilmarnock is down the leagues.
 
VAR to be introduced in the top flight of Scottish football, a move which I feel certain will end years of controversy and acrimony…

I can't see you, but I know you didn't type that with a straight face.

Not looking forward to it at all. And to make matters worse, there's still no goal line technology.
