I've previously read studies (when having this same debate) that actually showed artificial as being slightly less likely to cause injury. Seen various conclusions reached either way but the only conclusion I can actually draw from that is that there's no discernible difference.
Can't speak for Livingston but Killie's injury record this season has been quite poor but previous seasons one of the best in the league. Our most serious injury this season was picked up by Chrisene recently at the national stadium and now he's likely to be out for the season. What's strange though is that the next person who does an ACL at Killie or Livi the surface will automatically be blamed as if nobody ever gets injured or does their ACL on grass...it's mad.
