Dutch press saying Van Veen was waiting for Hearts but nothing materialised. Presumably he was to be Shankland’s replacement. Hasn‘t played for a while so will be rusty.
Read early this afternoon it was either us or St Mirren.

Seriously? I'm amazed by that, was only last season lol.
A genuinely good striker in an otherwise dugmeat Motherwell side. Probably the sole reason they weren't really in a relegation dogfight.
Not played a huge deal of football since. Hopefully still got it, he was really good.

From what he said, those were the final two options and he felt emotionally closer to your manager; he’s not had that kind of attachment in Groningen. He‘d had contact with Hearts earlier and was keen to go , but they never came back to him. Also reckons Rangers wanted him when he was leaving Motherwell but I’m not sure how much truth there is in that
Hearts have their own wee league. They are not getting caught for third and won’t catch Celtic for secondHuge win for Hearts at Dundee.3/2.
