Betting on rivals is fun, you win either way. Emotional hedging they call it.
Your just wanting to play some sheep shagging teams from abroad.I think a good idea for Scottish soccer football would be a North Atlantic League Cup, on top of domestic and European football.
My idea is for Scottish football to have extra cross border cups on top of domestic and European footy.
We could cut the Premiership down to a 30 game league season, in a 16 team premiership to free up weeks for extra cross border trophies. Then Scottish sides could play sides in small to medium sized European or large North American, or North American club sides in a North Atlantic League Cup.
Teams like Glasgow Rangers, Glasgow Celtic, Aberdeen, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, Dundee, Inverness CT, and Motherwell could take part. The North Atlantic League Cup could be a group stage trophy on top of domestic and European footy. It could be fun cross border games.
The Scottish have allowed Northern Irish and Welsh sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup, so why not more cross border trophies at a more ambitious levels. Perhaps all Scottish Premier sides not in Europe, selected Welsh Cymru Premier sides, and some Belgian ro French sides as guests sides in the Football League Trophy.
In rugby union, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish Sides play South African club sides. So why in the bigger sport of football can we not have Scottish sides playing African, Saudi, North American or other European sides in extra cross border cups.
This would be on top of domestic and European footy A few years ago Celtic went to Japan and Australia so they could easily travel to Africa or North America
‘Soccer football’ ? Really??I think a good idea for Scottish soccer football would be a North Atlantic League Cup, on top of domestic and European football.

We have been hearing about the Atlantic League before the Tectonic Plates moved the continents to create the Atlantic. More chance of somebody saying nasty things about my hair.I think a good idea for Scottish soccer football would be a North Atlantic League Cup, on top of domestic and European football.

It's actually refreshing that four of the "smaller teams" will have featured this week. It gets tiring seeing the Glasgow and Edinburgh teams, along with Aberdeen, monopolising the coverage up there. Couldn't watch last night, as we were busy watching God's own team. So I missed out on the fragrant Ms Barbour.Big night in Scottish premiership.
Aberdeen v St Johnstone… If saints win then they go level on points with the Sheep!
Celtic v Dundee.. Dundee have been on a decent run and in the fight for 6th but Celtic will be too strong for them and I expect an easy enough night from our East End ‘pals’
Hearts v The wee team… This shows you exactly why we need a new TV deal. Pathetic this is not on live TV! Hearts to bounce back from Saturday and win the derby comfortably.
Kilmarnock v Champions Elect… Watched Killie highlights and they looked very impressive against Aberdeen. Strong at the back, speed out wide and Vassels and Van Veen are more than capable upfront. They now have strength in depth. I’m optimistically going for a nervy , narrow Rangers win. I’ll be watching through my fingers from behind the couch.
My mates a huge Buddie and he even admitted last nights County v St Mirren would get football stopped. It's actually refreshing that four of the "smaller teams" will have featured this week. And yes; I realise that advertisers will want those 5 sides above on the screen, as they'll pull in more viewers than the likes of Ross County vs St Mirren or Livingston vs Motherwell will.
