Just seen the two results (busy watching the red cartels game). Rangers' weekend, obviously....

Making for an interesting title race up there. For a change.

Literally in line with his defensive partner and the ball going away from goal removes any question of whether the forward was getting away from both of them in on goal

That's a shocking decision. The referee hasn't seen anything different in the VAR review than he saw with his own eyes.
Just seen the Red card. As clear a Red as you’re likely to see. His next touch is a shot on goal with no other defender within 30 yards of him. No other defender can get near him.

Celtics first Red card in 90 domestic games and first since Collum took control of Scottish Referees l

Two central defenders on Sky and one an ex Celtic player both say Rec

The question is why the fuck McLean needed VAR to help him get such an obvious decision correct

Yes, the oracle of impartiality you are

Get a penalty today by any chance?

A good game but for me he was going away from goal think it was harsh ...........but hey its January and we at least look to be in for a decent title race.

Still no Cdltic player covering him.
The ref made a fool of himself by only booking him.

Yep. Stonewaller and another 2 in a routine 3-0 victory.

Maybe if you understood the rules I could take you seriously. The Hearts player is getting a shot on goal if not impeded. That is DOGSO

ETA… just seen it again and other Celtic defender is closer than I first thought but he is never going to stop the shot

He's not though is he, the balls headed to the corner flag and the two centre backs are close by one another but sure you crack on lad

Not sure you know the ruling. All that matters is, completely regardless of the angle of pass, is whether or not the attacker is denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

The attacker is away from Trusty…. Agree?

The attacker is getting to the ball first… Agree?

The attacker will have an opportunity to score.. Agree?

That’s it. Red Card

If the pass is hit at more pace it would force attacker wider and then other Celtic defender MIGHT have been able to affect play but it wasn’t

The player himself knew it was a red
He was down the tunnel before ref had looked at the screen
Watching Sportscene and this utter garbage about ‘ball going towards corner flag’ … the ball actually stops in the box haha

Nearest Celtic player is 14 yards away

Here’s one for historians. When were Celtic last awarded a domestic Red card that wasn’t Tynecastle?
