Sean was the first big actor, over six foot btw, who spoke with a Scottish accent, or any Scottish accent that wasn't the "Ochaye the noo" which incidentally has never been said by any Scot ever. So, I liked him for that alone. He was a great Bond and had some really good films. He did tend to play Sean the Scot no matter what the part was, this was part of his charisma the he got away with it.
He played an Irish Cop in Chicago who spoke with a Scottish accent.
A Russian sub commander who spoke in a Scottishaccent.
A Spanish Dandy who spoke Spanish in a Scottish accent and that other ****, who spoke Scottish Highlander in an American accent as they darted about killing other cunts.
He was one of that generation of British actors that some of us grew up with.
O'toole, Harris, Burton, Hopkins, Reed, Caine, Tommy Steele, all the greats.
As a Scot he will be missed up here and you can bet your bottom dollar his films will be getting queued up to be played on TV. Every cloud. He made it to 90, thats three times the national average, so fair play there big man. RIP.
