Season card renewal package has arrived

A phrase springs to mind to summarise this thread:

'you cant have your cake and eat it too'

Everyone here wants City to become this superclub, winning league titles and sucess in Europe, but it all comes at a cost. Just because we have a rich sugar daddy, does that mean the club should run itself like a charity? No, its a business and im sorry to say this but if you want to piss and moan about a few hundred quid there are loads more dedicated fans who will happily jump in that seat. I dont care what my seats cost next year, as im excited at the prospect of a challenge at the title...Even with the price hikes, we would still be no where near the most expensive in the league, ive got a friend paying 1400 at the emirates for shit seats...and the club have even announced the budget STs for you moaners...

I'm not going to speak for others, but it you think that quote bears any relevance to what is going on here I suspect you have no real comprehension of the (previous?) values of the club and it's supporters.

While I love the improvements in our squad, it's not the reason I have a season ticket. If it was I would have thrown it in years ago and would only now be looking to get back into it.

I've paid good money in the past to see a shit team, I've spent over £500 one season and saw 4 City goals (I missed three matches when I was abroad). And was happy to do that, as I have a good seat in a good area and I can see 11 men wearing City shirts try and beat the opposition.

I'm not sure if I have a rise this year or not, if it is it's not much and I don't have a problem with it. What I don't think you understand is that for the vast majority of people it's not about having to pay a few quid extra for your seats. It's about being moved to an area of the ground you consider inferior, with no guarantee of being seated next to or near your own party let alone the people you have spent years getting to know.

For me it's about being shunted from what I consider the best seats I can get in favour of new corporate supporters, or paying double the price (and no doubt the same for my kids) for the privilege that I don't particularly want.

What gets me is their statement that they have received 'overwhelming support' from existing season ticket holders to the changes via their questionnaire. The decisions had already been made, with the timescale n all. The recent questionnaire was part of of the ever increasing PR spin.

You don't think they believe football fans are thick, do you? ;-)

I am curious about this 10,000 "poll" because what I filled out wasn't a poll, it was a questionnaire. Pulling facts out of their arses me thinks. If they want a proper representation of our opininons, they'd have a poll on the official site.
