Season ticket payments - refunds/credits due by June 19th

I think it will be the opposite. I think those clubs will have the additional fans to pick up the slack, where as we may struggle to replace those not going.
It really could go either way, its a much bigger issue if your someone like Sunderland.... you're not selling package trips to Sunderland for people with disposable income. At least with City you are a little over 2hours from London by train, if.... and that's not something I'm taking for granted the club has a winning product I think it could afford to lose most.... of its local support

Completely understand the point about our older and/or poor health fans potentially not renewing in the next few seasons. I do think, however, that if the club are clever it is possible to tap into the huge fan base we have of younger fans and those who have been priced out of attending regularly.

Completely agree, its a much bigger issue if you have lots of availability and you lose a percentage of their support.

I take your point about about being 2 hours from London but I think if were discussing losing regular support because of covid19, I would guess that would have an equally adverse effect on people prepared to travel up from London etc, particularly if using the railways etc.

With regards clubs like Liverpool and United I think they still have a huge lapsed or occasional support which could plug the gaps.

depends on pricing. Liverpool for example have huge amounts of match going fans who are older or from abroad. They aren’t suddenly going to be replaced by scousers or others.

People will wary of travelling on packed trains aswell, so that could mean less fans from outside the area.

the answer is to make tickets really cheap and give the local community a chance to enjoy games and fill the stadium. People who don’t have to use public transport as much.

Yes I agree with all that. You probably have your finger on the pulse more than me, but is their a large demand in the 20-30 age range to watch City?

When I was in my mid 20s, circa 1999, it seemed like 70/80 percent of the support was a similar age profile, where as now the ground just looks like my generation and older. The reason I ask this as with a possible recession and health concerns it could be those plus 40s wrestling with bills and older people concerned with health issues who may fall by the wayside.

Just had a call off City to ask how I am, I'm 64 but on the 12 week isolation because of a medical condition, he also asked me if I had any questions about season tickets, basically they are not going to send renewals out until they get a start date for next season with fans allowed in, and as soon as the Premier league decides this season is finished you can have a refund or knock it off next seasons card, nice to get a call off the club

Rang the club a few days ago about getting reimbursed for Madrid ticket which they duly refunded. Asked about being reimbursed about remainder of games of SC. They said a decision will be made soon on that. Money is better off in my bank account right now as it's almost certain we won't be allowed to attend for the unforeseeable future.
