Got my first season ticket for the Kippax. 89/90 season as junior. Think it was £40
You have a point but they don’t have 60,000 people turn up watch them live and millions of people on TV when they go to work.Just put junior Kippax ( £9 ) into an inflation calculator up to end of this year. It is now worth £39.60.
We were in the top division, and a couple of seasons before, we got to QF of League cup two seasons running and QF of the UEFA Cup, so it wasn't down with the dead men. Why then do kids pay hundreds a season to watch football matches ?
Inflation has already been accounted for to get to £39.60. Jimmy Hill is the reason. A footballer should be on a liveable wage, but more than a Surgeon, Barrister, Firefighter etc ?
500 players in the EPL generating multi-billions. They deserve a fair slice of the pie. The money is only there because "the market" wants "the product"You have a point but they don’t have 60,000 people turn up watch them live and millions of people on TV when they go to work.
That was tits out jackie:)14 quid well spent - Kippax with the early-bird discount.
I came across this in my collection over the weekend!! Wow those prices back then and you got a discount if purchased before end of April!! Good old days !!
