Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

Do not understand how any fan can be priced out.
Okay not ideal if your seat is now too expensive but you can easily move to a seat within your budget.

Rising ticket prices ? Cost of living increasing? Prioritising rent or the family, not having enough money left over at the end of the month - if your on a shit paid job most can’t justify going. Plenty of reasons.

If being priced out was so random why have so many been priced out ?

Well those things priced me out in the late eighties, early nineties due to my personal circumstances. Now I'm priced back in. So nothing new in it.

This, unfortunately, has been the synopsis of my life for over a decade now. Skint, single, miserable but loads of loyalty points and memories.
Same as me fella. Lost relationships because of City, apparently my “priorities are all wrong”!

Can somebody tell me where the prices are, can’t find anything on the site logged in or not.

Update: ignore me just seen my
Email.

I know around 30 people who’ve given up there seasoncard, going back to around 2005. Two through I’ll health and two who came back when the cheap tickets came out. So in all about two dozen proper fans people who have stopped going because of price increases. Some of these lads were proper home and away every single game fans at one time or another.

There used to be a tribe of us out for home games, now there’s between 2 and 5 of us.

A £25 price increase isn’t much money. However when it goes with a £50, £50, £60, £75, £65, £35 and a £20 increase that we’ve seen over eight of the last nine years, it’s very easy to be priced out as that justification of what was once £450 that is now £820 is impossible to pay. It’s not the individual increases, it’s the accumulation.

There aren’t enough cheap tickets to go round everyone that would want one. So it’s not a case of just moving to a cheaper area. Especially for those who sit with mates like I do. I’d be a bit gutted to go and sit on my own somewhere just because it would be cheaper and leave the lads I sit with.

I know a few lads who get round it by having two seasoncards and there being five of them that use it and they go to random games between them.

But it’s not even the cost of the increases, it’s the principal. What the fuck do the club need around £1m for that they nudge the prices up for? Because that’s all it earns them.

What about Tesco? Isn't it time they gave their customers a break and not put prices up? same with Asda, trains you could go on forever. City have a business to run and every business has costs which go up from year to year. But there again it is the 'principle'. Get real everyone. If you don't like us playing the best football in the world then go down to Hough End and watch the Sunday league. I for one am only to happy to keep stumping up the extra. It is not the end of the world. I will just go without my bag of chips once a week. In fact I don't think the price increase per game is even that much.
Nobody at the club cares about you, mate. Stop sticking up for them. They care about your wallet and nothing else. Swear there are some fans on this forum who’d thank the club for a slap on the face upon entering the stadium before every home game. “Well I’d take a slap in the face to watch the best team in the country!”

If the club keep taking the piss like this there eventually comes a point where they charge over the odds and nobody has the ability to stop them.

Close but no potato with the “rising costs” point. TV money is the highest it’s ever been, we’ve just announced yet another sponsor, we’re the richest club in the world, we unnecessarily own about six other football teams around the world. This price rise is going to amount to a drop in the ocean when it comes to our overall financial outlook and it’s utterly pointless.

You’ve revealed your true colours by saying you’re happy to pay extra. You can afford it so nobody else matters. I see how it is.

There also comes the point where, Pep’s time is up, Txiki retires and we have a slump down the table. When our seasoncard prices are very expensive after 20 price increases in 22 years and the crowds start to dwindle.
