Season Ticket Waiting List | Sold Out

The silver seasoncard is effectively just a ticket bundle, with no Guarantee of renewal or chance to upgrade. Just seems such an arbitrary move by the club - the money they will make from the ‘premium’ games selling to non-SC holders is peanuts in relative terms across a season.
Agree it’s bollocks and has got us fans by the bollocks. With the exception of the tickets for the South Stand that get sent back from away clubs who don’t sell many, all our tickets are priced sky high, even the likes of Leicester are £50 plus. what with the fucking about before and after the game, deafening fucking PA that kills any atmosphere, it makes you wonder if it’s worth the hassle.

I feel like there is probably something like 1000 tickets available which is very low considering the demand, the club probably want to keep it quite

Not sure I agree they are wanting to keep it quiet. They’ve been aggressively pushing the membership cards, as always, with the headline perk that you get first refusal on season tickets. They’ve I believe they’ve emailed all those with memberships now informing them tomorrow is their chance. Albeit it for 14 games only.

If it’s a thousand as you guess, tell people it’s a thousand. What harm can that do? If it’s a 100, tell them.

My concern for those hoping to get one is if the reason they won’t give a number is because they’re embarrassed if it’s just a token, pathetically low amount.

Hopefully not.

The silver season ticket offering doesn't bother me so much it's the first come first served that doesn't sit well. How somebody who has never been to a game but recently bought a cityzens membership has the same opportunity to get one as somebody who has 1000's of points just doesn't seem right.
It's a USP of the cityzens membership though that you are put on a 'waiting list' and if you knew you were placed so far down the queue it'd hinder membership sales which it seems the club is more interested in than rewarding loyalty.
Just looking at the cityzens membership details right now and I don't know whether they've removed the waiting list benefit or just done it momentarily as they'd be ineligible for this window?

This is my argument for a proper waiting list, rather than leaving it to pot luck.

Clear evidence that they have finally handed the keys over to the lunatics to run the asylum. Sell the crap games at a discount and charge the same people top whack to attend the best games of the season?

My thoughts:

- Silver season ticket holders should get the first chance to upgrade to gold once it becomes available. This should be laid out by City before Silver tickets were even offered.

- There should be a proper waiting list, as in you click to join, no preference on points or 1 big mass scramble. A list where you are ordered based on when you clicked join waiting list. And you get a slot to buy and if you don't then it moves to the next person.

- Paying £35 for the chance at getting a season ticket is scandalous, I know there are other perks but most people buying that are hoping to get a season ticket and should be refunded if they don't or have their membership extended another year.

Lol, it doesn’t feel like peanuts when you’re buying them as a citizens matchday member, honestly!

I've only got about 300 points at the moment (although I should be on about double to treble that but I started again from scratch). I don't think I should be entitled to a ticket at the same time as people who have been a lot more than myself- never mind those who've barely been or not at all.
Some of the older generation may not be tech savvy either or efficient on a computer and miss out because of this.
Like I say the club prioritise flogging these £35 memberships to increase income. One of the main carrots being getting onto a non-existent waiting list. I think this is one of the reasons they are so secretive with the number of season tickets available too. If the number is very limited the membership doesn't hold as much appeal and the sales for it will drop off a cliff. It doesn't matter to the club if Joe Bloggs who has 10'000 points and keeps missing out on a season ticket as they'd rather sell thousands of these cityzens memberships.

The biggest issue for me as a citizen Matchday member of recent years, having had a season ticket for yonks before that, is the way the whole season of home league matches goes on sale before the season has even started, before any tv picks have been made etc.

The old system of a rolling release of Matchday tickets 4-6 weeks before the game - and still with a citizen window built in - was miles better. Why couldn’t that continue? It allowed us to spread our spending out across the season.

Probably so tourists from the far East could book cheap flights months in advance for a whole weekend over here, safe on the knowledge that whatever time the game is televised they are here to attend in person.
