I think everyone who wants silver membership will get it. It’s only the “premium” matches that they want to keep tickets back to sell at an inflated rate imo.
It won't make sense selling too many, the Brighton on a Tuesday may struggle, Newcastle or Everton on a Saturday always seem to sell well. Unless it is the 318 tickets they are offering and similar blocks.I think everyone who wants silver membership will get it. Rag :)It’s complicated for us old farts who are not tech savvy! I am on holiday abroad until the end of the month so I am hoping the new Season Ticket applications open in July so I can at least try and get one when I am back in the Uk. I am after a single seat and will opt for the most expensive available on the basis that I am more likely to be successful. As I will be 65 later this year, the costs will 1/2 the following year so I don’t mind being stung for this first year. Unlikely to attend more than about 50% so the Silver Surfer or what ever its called would be perfect. Not bothered I will miss the big games, quite happy to watch them in the comfort of the arm chair. I know that probably qualifies as a plastic fan but at my age and the fact it can be a bit of a ball ache getting there for midweek matches I don’t really care what label I pick up.
It's not for everyone but for people such as halfmist (above) it suits his circumstances so to call it a joke is unfair. The silver ticket is a joke really.
Nail on the head.Rag :)
Hope you get sorted.

It may be something I consider in future. I've already stopped going to CL games as I can watch them with a bottle of red in the comfort of my house or in our Supporters Club. The omitted games are guaranteed to be on TV. And unless a big team is the last game of the season you get to witness the drama of a Villa/QPR game and hopefully a few trophy presentations.

My opinion is that they have passed their threshold for number of full season tickets due to the deferral system put in place last year. Possibly more deferred people than expected have decided to return and when you add in the new season ticket holders from last season, there’s just nothing left. I think this silver option is a fair compromise (and helps fill seats for less attractive games) but I just can’t see how there’s going to be any spare seasoncard seats next year unless they change the threshold or we get relegated! I think silver seasoncard holders will be that for a while, hence why they haven’t promised anything about upgrading next year. IMHO of course. The silver season ticket seems a decent idea to me on the proviso that it is a stepping stone to a full season ticket.
It allows those that have been priced out to be able to go to the majority of games at a much reduced price over match day tickets.
I hope the club will allow silver ticket holders to upgrade (if they wish to) to gold/platinum the next season if their ticket has been used for at least something like 12 out of the 14 games.
Anyway, I hope that all who want one will get one today.
The stepping stone is being a citizen member, going the games you can whilst paying £35 to be able to get any season tickets that come on general sale. With the direct debit option it’s manageable, the best way of putting it is I doubt that somebody wasn’t thinking of a season ticket, seen silver offered and gone wow I’ll jump at that chance. It will be disappointed people like me who wanted a season ticket, only to be offered a lesser product and still calling it a season ticket. The silver season ticket seems a decent idea to me on the proviso that it is a stepping stone to a full season ticket.
