The age thing is a bit of a pain. My birthday is 27th july but because the age brackets change as of August the 1st I had to pay the year older by 4 days.

Im not moaning as it will always have to effect some people but my mates who are nearly a year older get to pay the same

Was going to start a new thread and found this one just in time....

I have 4 season cards in Family level 2. I renewed mine by finance and was going through renewing my 3 lads cards.
I renewed the youngest that was at £110 and then went to £210 because he turned 16 on August the 1st.

All went fine. Until this morning I get a letter saying I have to move. Phoned up and they said its because he hits 16 on the first.

I aint trying to get around the rules or anything but you would think they would be more organised than this.

I now have to relocate and hope that Zebra let me change my finance option.

Before anyone says I should have known, yeh maybe I should but as far as I was concerned I just went through the legit renewal process online.

What are the chances of me getting 4 decent seats in a row in the relocation window? Probably non-existent.

Hopefully the price wont be too much of an increase because I am at my limit almost now.

I find that extremely odd mate. Isn't the cut off date 1st August?? Logic would say d.o.b. before August '96 (i.e. before 1st August 1996) you don't qualify and d.o.b. from August '96 (i.e. from 1st August 1996) you are still in the child category. Why have 1 qualifying day out of August???

Your best bet is probably to try and relocate now and see what selection of non-S/T seats there are, it's more likely you'll get 4 together now than from non-renewals.

Swings and roundabouts. When you reach pensionable age you'll get to have a concession a year earlier than you would if you were born 4 days later and you can go in with your mates with your OAP tickets on your hover wheelchairs bloody moaning at the young kids of the day who have only known succes;-)

I've just completed Zebra finance, how long does it take to come through on the website that you've renewed? or do you have to do that on the website yourself?
