Season Tickets 2018-19 - 3% average increase reported

I know what we think of their fans but the club might be on to something, to be fair.

UNITED CONFIRM 2018/19 TICKET PRICES
Season and match ticket prices frozen for seventh consecutive season
Introduction of new £15 tickets for 18 to 25-year-olds in the Stretford End

Manchester United has confirmed that season and match ticket prices will be frozen for a seventh consecutive season, ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, making an eighth price freeze in nine years.

In that time, fans have enjoyed a price reduction of nearly 17 per cent in real terms.

In addition, the club has announced a new £15 ticket for fans aged 18-25, with pitch-side seats in the lower Stretford End, reinforcing the club’s commitment to a vibrant atmosphere, while also helping younger fans to watch live, affordable football.

Other concessions include:

• £10 per game Season Ticket price for Under 16s (Family areas)

• Half-price tickets for Under 18s & 65+ (prices from £14 per game)

• 25 per cent discount for 18 to 20-year-olds

Also, supporters will receive a 25 per cent reduction for Carabao Cup home games.

Manchester United’s Group Managing Director Richard Arnold commented: “The club enjoys unparalleled support and we recognise the sacrifice many fans make to watch the team home and away. Continuing the freeze in match and season tickets for next season is driven by our belief in supporting fans attending our games.

“The introduction of reduced ticket prices for young adults in the Stretford End lower tier stems from suggestions generated by fan groups through our Fans’ Forum, aimed at building on the tradition of vibrant support.”
Can't knock the fuckers for those prices towards their younger fans. This is the time where they know they have to do something to stop potentially losing these fans to us.

Just checked back on last season's season ticket price.

The price for your current seat for the 2017/18 season is: Platinum 17/18: £665.00

Next season.

The price for your current seat for the 2018/19 season is: Platinum 18/19 : £685.00

So, £20 more. £1 more a game.

People will say why are you moaning?

Because it's another consecutive season ticket price rise that didn't have to be made.

If the price rises are due to inflation and running costs, look at reducing running costs.

Look at areas of the club where savings can be made.

Don't pass that (excuse) cost on to the fans every season.

Cut your cloth accordingly.

That excuse has worn out now.

yep its a brilliant idea. liverpool, everton and united have a younger age season ticket. we're literally one of the only clubs increasing prices and have done every year now for the past ten or so years.

It’s annoying. It will be as simple as some matchday revenue manager being targeted to achieve a certain percentage growth in matchday revenue.

We do some things well like the £300 odd season tickets of which there are many in SS3, the value gold ticket, reductions for over 65’s and kids prices in family stand.

What we don’t do well is this. Little increases here and there that they know people will suck up. Platinum is another rip off. That should be scrapped. It’s nonsense.

Only because they have huge competition from across town these days.

Most fans have picked their team before they hit 18. Not a chance would any red (even some of their less gifted supporters) stop going there to come here.

I can spot a faker in seconds and am yet to encounter them at City. Non argument there.

Tourists and glory hunters are in their thousands and both clubs see them as potential customers.

a lot of blues arent accepting these prices. loads of people are quitting and just going to cup games. you can see it round the ground and in the pubs when we play at home as well. its just greed. things like this piss me off more then anything and put me off top flight football tbh.

no one should be defending this,.
