Season Tickets 2018-19 - 3% average increase reported

How can it be greed when the club has huge accumulated losses and the last accounts, in fact, showed a loss.

They showed a small profit, however it could have been a huge profit if required

What the majority are so pissed off about is that it's such a paltry increase and the club doesn't need this extra revenue, plus it's every fucking year
One more price increase and my season card will cost over £800 and I will just sack it off. I also have to pay £100 parking on top of the S/C and I'm certainly not paying close to a grand to watch 19 games of football. My seat will be taken by Singapore Steve, Thailand Tony and Japanese John waving their selfie sticks whilst wearing their half and half scarfs

OK, so the profit was slightly above £1M reducing the accumulated losses to £619M. Why could it have been a huge profit? Are you suggesting the accounts are not truthful or are you referring to what for some time I have regarded as Scott Sinclair syndrome (i.e. if we hadn't have signed him they could have given us all a holiday).

You could save £100 by parking a bit away from the ground like me and walking. My apologies if you are unable to walk any distance.

That's the way it has become mate. The club don't give a fuck that we are becoming the pride of Singapore and pricing locals out.

I used to park about 15 minutes walk (at a pace) from the ground but that's all residents only now
As for the huge profit, yes player recruitment is one example, another is Toure signing for another year on £80k a week, when he was always going to be on the periphery
Tosin Adarabioyo is another. A great young player with a very bright future who signed a new contract @£20k a week
Never hear anything about his chances of making the first team. All the rumours are of City buying another centre half!!

If our owner was in it purely for profit, then he could sell us now as the CFG asset is valued between £2B & £3B
However the profit we're talking about is always reinvested, which is great, but on a turnover of close to £500M, the ticket increase comes in at around £700k, 0.016% of turnover (two months of Toure's salary!!)
Plus if you make a big profit, HMRC are in for a windfall, so we may as well invest it back

I think there are a number of posters on here who'd love a job at City cost cutting. It would be so easy to save £700k

The profit was lower than it should have been as we had 13 months of costs to take into account instead of 12, because of extending our accounting date to June from May. Costs carry on whereas virtually all revenue is earned by the end of May.

ADUG has covered all our accumulated losses as part of their continuing investment. In return, they've go a company that's currently worth £2bn compared to the £1.4bn invested.

I think the rumours of us signing another centre half now that Kompany has established some fitness are nothing more than that. It is always easy to say we could have done without someone but presumably Pep wanted to keep Yaya and felt the reduced salary was worth it. Tosin may or may not be seen in the future but perhaps we feel we will recover his salary and make a profit if we sell him. The thing is when we buy someone that the fans are not totally happy with what they are usually saying is that we could have signed someone better - we didn't kick on. They rarely say we shouldn't have bought anyone. In effect, many on here would finish up spending more than we actually do!
