Season Tickets - 2023/24

Could be worse. Just been reading a Liverpool thread on Twitter about their new stand that’s opening next season.

1,000 out of a 7,000 capacity are been offered as season tickets and those eligible have been on the waiting list about 27 years.

There’s people on there who’ve been on the list 22 years who are thousands off the top and the waiting list has been closed for over 10 years.
They don't have that many season ticket holders as they sell to daytrippers which is what our top brass will be attempting to replicate.

This is a good point Stephen and I've thought about it myself too. Everybody seems to be under the impression there'll be a substantial amount of season tickets available when the new stand is finished. Has anybody had confirmation on how many of these additional seats will actually be for new season ticket holders from the club though?

The Liverpool fans started that caper, passing ST’s down several generations, and onto touts for £££ they’ve got STH’s that are a 109 apparently, the club took their lead from the fans who’ve been profiteering from ticket sales to day trippers for years, no wonder they have walk outs when the club put prices up

I knew two blokes telling me they were getting season tickets at Anfield in 1996, as their supporters' branch always got what they applied for, despite those 2 going once a season at most. Come July they had been knocked back along with every other request, wonder if they are still waiting?

I can see a token amount of silver, bronze and pewter season tickets being released by City this year give fans choice.

Going off the consensus on their thread, ‘95 and ‘96 seems to be pretty much bang on the money for those getting these 1,000 extra.

Those who joined the list anytime much after that seem resigned to not getting one until they are very old men at best and are only bothering staying on it to give their kids a chance of having one if they get lucky before they die.

They seem to have a very slack policy on passing them down through the generations. Or even encourage it.

Is the ST that’s renewing yours ? If so it might point to where the problem lies, and do the other 2 have their own accounts ?
