Season Tickets - 2023/24

If that report is accurate, that must be the case. Anyone with a matchday membership is automatically counted as being on the ST waiting list whether they actually want to buy one or not.
If the Daily Mail were bothered about accuracy they wouldn't have just hired Boris Johnson.

The club aren't interested in Cityzen members who've been attending all of their life and buy 2 beers in the ground.

The club would rather attract tourists who are willing to pay £67 a ticket and spend a fortune in the club shop. Football is going to shit and is no longer a social event in the calendar for non ST holders but a luxury. I feel for local parents who shell out a fortune taking their kids.

We’re probably just doing what every other club does (especially the rags- who claim to have 6 million fans :)) to promote the brand & the club in general.

That’s precisely why Liverpool have so few season tickets compared to clubs with similar capacities and a waiting list that people sit on for decades and has been closed to new applications for some years now. They sell a large number of inflated price ‘hospitality packages’ to tourists for every home game.

I’d be very surprised if they have anything like 120,000 who’ve paid the £35 or whatever it is now.

If there’s any truth in it, there’s maybe 120,000 who’ve registered an account and have a supporter number.

I’ve got a few of those for people who don’t even exist.
No idea how many there are but I’m sure I read a while back there are about 60000 different matchday ticket buyers for league games season.

Your last point is why everyone on other City forums laugh when a cult on here prattle on about the “integrity of the points system”.

Whatever the correct figures are, we have unprecedented demand for tickets. Hoarders, people with season cards who only want to go to away games, too many season cards going to overseas fans etc means part timers are depriving the latest generation of Blues a season card.

The high demand for tickets means touts will try to hoover then up. If City put all games on sale at the same time again I wouldn't be surprised if most games sell out on the first day.
