Season Tickets - 2023/24

I'm sceptical as to whether the death of the 19 game season ticket for new holders may have come to pass. Especially after today. Were those that downgraded from Gold last year (I know there wasn't many of them) told that they couldn't upgrade again once they'd downgraded? I don't believe so and if not this is another underhand tactic by the club to generate revenue at all costs.

Are the 5 teams that are omitted the same as last season or would Newcastle replace Spurs say?

Presumably all lapsed season tickets will be only offered as Silver if current holders of the Silver can't upgrade to a Gold.

It's all very odd and distasteful.
I make you right. It appears the club thinks it has too many seasoncard holders. Liverpool have less than 30000 and want to encourage the daytripper. The clubs all talk to each other and have similar ideas.

Just no need for it, I understand its not a lot for quite a lot of you but for a low earner like me with young kids its very significant, I was so grateful to be able to relocate to the cheap seats in the south stand as the family stand was getting hard for me to manage, 40 in 1 season is sooo much man and I suppose it will just keep rising every season now, suppose some of the new fans will easily replace us now

For this season I've been paying by DD for the first time, so I'm not sure if this is what normally happens:

"As you chose to pay for your 2022/23 Season Ticket by Direct Debit, you will be automatically renewed between Tuesday 16th May and Wednesday 17th May. This means, you do not need to do anything to renew your Season Ticket."

(I didn't actually choose to pay that way, they chose for me and when I rang them they said that I could change how I paid when the closing date for renewals had gone. But then they had a computer glitch and in the end I said oh never mind I'll pay by DD! )

However what I want to know is do I trust this and do nothing on the 2nd May or do I go online and renew from there?
I am not losing my SC after the season I've had and as I am hoping to get to the last 2 home games and Real Madrid. :-)
In the past I've had 'auto' renew but like you I had concerns so I renewed myself to be certain....I didn't get charged twice & I slept easier until I had my email after renewals were closed.

The suits at the club are pathetic. They do nothing for the fans if there's no PR involved....all so undeniably detached from reality.

Pep could influence it if he cared. But he doesn't. If he ever mentions the crowd again he can swivel.

City matters should disband. And it should go public City have no meaningful engagement with fans.

I'm an idiot. I'll still pay it. I binned off the the league cup scheme 2 years ago to pay for the increase. I'll bin off the fa cup next year. That's what the club want though. Less passion. Day trippers with deeper wallets.

Anyway. I'm clearly in a bad mood. Khaldoon can give me a call and I'll say it to his face but he'll do a garbage PR piece behind a camera instead and the mindless will lap it up. Clueless. The lot of them.

Cheeky cunts. Putting prices up like this. They don't care about us fans, earlier was an example now this is just taking the piss.
They aren’t cheeky and all this outrage is misplaced.

Yes, it would have been lovely if the club had frozen prices but it’s a business, not a charity, and it provides a premium product and certainly doesn’t overcharge for tickets.

Swales put prices up every year. This is nothing new.

In a world of FFP, the club needs to keep increasing its revenue, especially when its own costs will be rising.

I make you right. It appears the club thinks it has too many seasoncard holders. Liverpool have less than 30000 and want to encourage the daytripper. The clubs all talk to each other and have similar ideas.

Sadly this is probably the future. Loads of daytrippers paying £60+ a ticket and spending shitloads in the club shop. Of course they won't be there on a wet night against Burnley or similar.

I’m lucky, £350 this season and £385 next… Still a bargain considering what‘s on offer

Mine has gone up from £425 to £455 but previously I was at the top of SSL3, which I am guessing where you sit and my ticket was £330. The same price as Kippax AA Lower in 2001. Its fantastic value for the players and football we watch.

I say it on here every year, if you look at the accounts, the season ticket revenue is almost minute compared to everything else flowing in and out of the club, wages, sponsorship, merch and walk-up-ticket revenue. If they made them free it would barely dent the overall coffers yet they seem to think it essential to put prices up £6 a month or whatever the average is. Some areas have gone up 3 years in a row.

The plan is long term. They want to sell £1000 season tickets but they can’t jump so high in one go.

Increment £30’s each season, people view it as only an extra £2 per game but in 5 years it’s £10 per game and in another 5 £20.

It’s business and the modern world unfortunately, the main consolation is we have a brilliant team , manager and owners if you compare us to the rest of football.
