Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

What are the guarantees for refund games?
They tell you month by month 7 so far:

Tottingham
Muntd
Everton
Liverpool
Leeds
Sunderland
Wham

Not:

Brunlea
Bournemouth

I'm guessing Chelsea, Arsenal and Villa will be and not the rest unless they do more than 10.

There's 12 guaranteed refund matches.

The other thing to be aware of for the Guaranteed Sale Matches on the Exchange is that the guarantee is only if you list your ticket 10 days prior the game, after that it's the Wild West and no guaranteed sale...

"Guaranteed refunds are granted to Season Ticket Members who list their seat on the Ticket Exchange no later than 10 days prior to each of the 12 matches. You can continue to list within 10 days of the match, however the refund is not guaranteed and is subject to the ticket reselling.

Once the 2025/26 matches have been confirmed by the Premier League, we will then communicate to Season Ticket Members within their 'Manage Your Games' email which ones are a guaranteed refund match.

Listed seats will be available for fans to purchase approximately 4 weeks before the match.

If your seat remains unsold 3 hours before kick-off you will receive an alert on matchday, the ticket will be returned and you can still attend the game or Transfer your ticket.

Please note, the deadline for for listing for all matches (not just guaranteed refund matches) is now 24 hours prior to kick-off."

Are you complaining about guaranteed refunds for 12 games?

That has been the case for last 3 seasons, they got stung for the rearranged Spurs game 4-2 with people listing with hours, minutes or seconds to go. It is sensible having a cut off to stop everyone dumping last minute.

Does anyone know if the prior purchase history requirement is defo required to buy tickets for Leeds and Sunderland games? Got 2 kids want to go, prepared to buy junior memberships (£10 half price Black Friday “sale”) plenty of tickets available but ticket site says must have bought 1 previous match. I understand the worries about away fans but they’re not gonna sell many new memberships if you still can’t buy a ticket for games like these!

A second release of match tickets for this game are now on sale to existing Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members who have purchased 1+ home Premier League fixtures since the start of the 2023/24 season. One ticket per Member.

Thanks, yeah that’s what I saw. Bit ridiculous to restrict Junior members, they seem to want to actively discourage the next generation of fans

Another way the system is for the benefit of City and not the fan is the charge you have to pay to transfer a ticket from an over 65 to an Adult (charge the difference in price). However, when you transfer an adult ticket to an over 65 it says you can't, so you end up classifying them as an adult. Guess what, this means they don't give you the price difference back. All about maximising income for the club.

So for Leeds and Sunderland, SC holders can now buy 3 extra tickets (I think!). I just tried and it let me put these in my basket without assigning to anyone else. If I continue will I definitely get 3 emails to forward? Or will it want to update peoples existing passes at some point? (even though I’ve not said who they’re for!).

You’ll get the tickets my email mate. I bought an extra yesterday for my daughter for the Sunderland game and it arrived instantly by email without me having to assign it to someone else.

Didn’t quite work like that for me, got an email saying I had to download them, no link to forward. Fortunately in EL0 same as me so should be able to get everyone in with me, but still a right ballsache!

The daft thing is, you can't assign them to a current paid up junior member, who is new and doesn't have a purchase history. But you can leave them all in the same name as the eligible member, who can then give them to any Tom, Dick and Harry, without the club knowing, or even asking for their name.

The club have made a royal fk up of the ticket transfer rules this season.

It’s so annoying with the ticket rules now - my Dad is ill so had decided this morning he can’t go to the game.

I can’t transfer his ticket to anyone because of the transfer rules. I can’t list the ticket on the exchange because it’s within 24 hours of KO.

So this is a missed game when I would happily give the ticket away to fill the seat!
This is the problem. City must think fans don’t have lives away from football. I’m pretty sure both my son’s seats will be empty tomorrow. Work and family commitments have changed numerous times over last few weeks whereby they were going and then not.other non members could and then now can’t use ticket. If anyone was able to go and could have taken someone as a one off who then may have got hooked or at least spent money at city or in worst scenario made stadium look full. Now they are just going to waste and leaves me more at odds with city than I’ve ever been.im not convinced there is the glut of new wave replacement fans out there who would show the same loyalty we have over the years through some sparse years and believe football is going to shoot itself in foot in near future.
