Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

This isn't a problem for us yet but both villa and spurs are making their season ticket holders download dedicated apps for their season tickets this season.

The tickets aren't saved on the phone to prevent people screenshotting and giving them to their mates if they can't go.
You also have to have a smart phone.
Villa have said this today.

Spoke to a lady from the club today on the phone. She told me that whilst you can have a season ticket on 2 phones, the other person won’t be able to use it as it’s not in their name.
She said, for safety and security reasons we need to know who is in the stadium in case of an emergency, if there was an emergency and it’s not ‘you in the stadium’ but your card is used by someone else, they would be looking for you.
I said why have the rule of 2 phones the? She said it was because of carers and different parents going with children (which to me is the same thing as their name wouldn’t be on the ticket)! Correct me if I’m wrong but only one name is associated with one season ticket!?

As for flexi golds, she told me for a game to count towards the 10 to renew or the magic 16 to be able to upgrade to gold, you only have to purchase the game, the phones doesn’t have to scan in… this is interesting news as I thought it had to be scanned in. She said theoretically, you could buy 10 and not turn up to any as long as they were purchased!

I am a bit sceptical about the flex- gold part. Either a different person from the club would say something different or the club will say - we've changed our mind, but it was all in the T&C, you didn't read them!

But how do they know who is who? I have my season card on my phone but also on a burner phone. Surely I could use either? Or someone else use either?
 
They’ve sent instructions today that all members have new mobile tickets ready to download and that any tickets bought must be downloaded on to the card. The option of downloading straight from the email confirmation to your phone wallet, that was available previously, is no longer possible.

I suspect this isn’t looking good for people hoping to transfer season tickets to random email addresses, via a nominated non member.

Find out on Friday I guess.

Not sure that you can’t put two season cards onto one phone, and anyway my seasoncard just says “Adult” and no has name on it as does the second card on my phone. Only difference is the seat numbers.

I think most of us felt the email link was going to disappear. Far too easy.
So how will members get tickets now? Via their account? I know you’ve explained it above but I’m still confused?

Sounds like it might be business as usual actually going off this.

When they deleted our tickets from google wallet at the end of this season and told us we would have to download new ones, I was expecting them to be in the Man City app to be honest. But now we have no barcode we can't screenshot anyway so we have the same as villa now.

We’ll find out on Friday won’t we! I gather they’ve had problems today with people trying to download memberships to their wallets. My sister had to ring them and apparently they’d had hundreds of calls.
 
Has anyone managed to transfer a Spurs ticket to a friend and family?
Im sure it's been covered but there are a too many posts to go through
