Season Tickets - 2026/27 | Ticket prices frozen (p9)

I’ve just been on the phone renewing ours - we were moved 2 years ago for the north stand building work and so got the message yesterday to offer us our temporary seats or alternative ones.

Phoned up, got sorted and paid (well…direct debit done) and we’re moving back up to 133. Afraid they’re not new North Stand seats so can’t give any clues on what they’re saying.

Have to say too, the guy that sorted it was excellent. Really helpful, efficient, knew what he was talking about too. Said the easiest thing to do was to just renew now rather than reserve new seats and wait for an auto-renewal.

Would recommend.

He had no news on cup final tickets though.
How have they done that for you already if renewals aren’t until 14th May?

The OSC and 1894 are working with City to increase the availability of season cards. Your lad might be able to get a flexi, with a bit of luck.
I really hope it's possible, I've told him probably no chance. But was hoping upon hope he might just get really lucky if all the stars align.

If you register for the new north stand, I’m assuming it’s only that. If I was successful in being offered one, I still have the opportunity to stay in the south stand?

I'm hoping I can get a season ticket for next season, I meet the 35 game criteria. My daughter already has one, how do we work it so we sit together? Does she renew, then if I get one we contact the club to discuss sitting together?
Yes, your daughter renews then she could look to relocate in that window if there’s no spares next to her even if it’s just down the row. Then you try to get your seat next to her. If that fails you should be able to ring the club to sort it for you.

Best of luck to you and your lad.

1894, The OSC and City Matters have been working hard with City to improve opportunities for season cards. I don’t know the details but we are beginning to see the benefits of some of this behind the scenes work.

Things should improve this season and next.

Quick question - the renewal talks about picking up your age at 1st August as the pricing point. So does an 18-21 ticket last until your 22nd birthday, or if someone is 21 on 1st August 2026, are they deemed to be an adult?
When I was 21 a few years ago I was charged 18-21 pricing for the full season despite turning 22 in November so you should have another year before paying Adult fees unless somethings changed.

Because we were moved by the club (unwillingly tbh) a couple of years ago we had to decide what seats to move to permanently from now on.

And had the chance to do that and pick before everything opens up from 14 May because we’ve been shunted around for two seasons because of the construction work.

The system can handle renewals now I imagine, it’s just not available yet outside the ticket office.

Similar vein - I'm wondering what the downsides to the flexi ticket are, except that inaction means I dont waste any money. If I have a full ST and don't list it on the exchange, I lose out on money.
The downside of the flexi is you have to commit three weeks before. If you live along way away it means you cant really take account of the weather conditions to get you to the match. Neither can you take account of illness. This season we have had to revise our plans twice because of Covid and twice because of foul weather. In each instances we were still in time to stick the tickets on the exchange and get them sold. If we had flexi non of that would be possible and we would have been out of pocket 4 x 2 ticket costs. Not the end of the world but reasons why I would prefer to hang on to our SC.

Fair. I live in scotland these days and try and plan my trips to manchester for work/seeing mates around football, and I've made more games this year (5) than the previous two (3). Just life sometimes gets in the way.

I generally know 3wk ahead whether I will be in Manchester.

What I still don't understand is why I'm being bumped from a ticket that has a ten-game minimum, onto a product which ALSO has a ten-game minimum. What happens this time next year if I dont increase my attendance? (I'm trying, I am)

I'm guessing that, rather than sending you straight to matchday tickets only, they're giving you a chance to "redeem" yourself via a Flexi ticket that you can upgrade next year if your circumstances permit.

Flexis could be transferred for 3 games.

It seems to me your altenative would be...

1) Commit in May for the whole of next season, and miss out on every game you cant attend, knowing you can shift up to 9 of them via exchange and attend 10 personally.
2) Commit three weeks out, and miss out only on games where your circumstances change in the last three weeks (eg weather) after using up the three tickets you can put on the exchange. You still need to attend 10 personally. Cost per game a bit higher if you dont attend all games.

Sounds to me that your circumstances are exactly suited to the flexi. It may end up slightly more expensive per game, but unless you're really lucky and get rid of all your spares on the exchange, it'll save on the cost of games you knew ages ahead that you couldn't attend.

Probably right. I'm just a bit bitter about how its been done. Been a ST holder for years, moved away, and it's been nice to keep that link back to 'home' despite moving to Edinburgh a few years back. I wouldn't have been able to build the life I have up here if I was down for every game, even before games get moved at the whim of the TV. If they bin me off this Flexi I would probably stick to a memberhip and buy a match at a time, wouldn't cost me any more. But I might lose out if say a match I could make was a "big game". Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Just looked at my TE account - I've obv listed loads of games but it hasnt sold 4-5 times. Thats not my fault, I blame scheduling/pricing.

We’ve had flexi for last 2 years. It’s been amazing and loved the flexibility. We will have attended 17 games once season ends and will have opportunity to ‘upgrade’ to ‘full’ season ticket. I’m undecided as I do like the flexibility of what I have, without the bother of ticket exchange

I moved to Scotland 26 years ago and gave up my season ticket for exactly the reasons you mention, I did purely for cost. I don’t have any problem getting match day tickets 3 weeks before once I know the date and time of games have been fixed. Yes sometimes the bigger games are harder, but honestly I don’t care which games I go to just enjoy getting to 6/7 games a year if it’s the cheaper less popular games that’s okay.
Plus there will be more match day tickets next season available so should be easier.

I'm the reverse, having moved to Manchester in the mid 1980s and getting back to Edinburgh less and less. If Hearts did a flexi ticket, I'd probably get that and give me a chance to see them, something that's getting harder this year due to an outbreak of decent football.
