Seasoncard - 2021/22

Can I make my boys members now?

Can't envisage any situation where they don't make season tickets available to new fans. Makes no commercial sense.
You can whether they would be allowed to join the same queue as people who have been members for a couple of im unsure.

There will only be a few season tickets available and they will sell out to cityzens, i think they will be extremely limited this season as many who would have given them up take the option to defer.

I would assume that fair proportion of fans have got out of the habit (or got old/died/moved away) and that would free up many tickets. You do bring up something I haven't thought of though: if people can defer their ticket then the club can't sell that as a season ticket.

It's £35 a year each (£25 kids) but you get a fiver off each ticket so it's worth it if you want to get in the queue and know you'll get an sc eventually.

A few years back I registered my daughter as a Cityzen and she got invited to buy an sc straightaway, which we did, but that might just have been luck.

Yes, it makes no sense for people to give up their season ticket this season if they think they may want to go again in the future. The relocation window backs up the opinion not many cancelled.

I believe that the tickets shown as available in the relocation window were only the ones who weren't season ticket holders last year. My mate is not renewing or deferring and his wasn't shown, and the available seats matched exactly what becomes available every match day. Maybe City are going to push these people to try to get then to renew or something?

That's farcical if thats the case. If the seats cancelled it should be available for others.

The club doesn't have 'a system with bugs' but instead its systems are totally unfit for purpose. Since the start of the renewal/deferment window over two weeks ago the business (as that what it is) has treated its customers like shit and it is on a par with companies that get an average one star review on Trustpilot as there is no zero stars option.

Normally in a well run business such a fiasco would result in a root and branch review into what went wrong and how it can be ensured it will never happen again. This won't be the case in this instance however.
There’s probably a combination of both because the Friends and Family “functionality” wasn’t working last night.

The current shambles doesn’t change the reality that the basic ticketing system worked pretty well for years. It has been overwhelmed in recent month and doesn’t look fit for purpose. It hasn’t made sense to add demands to a creaking system for the Champs League travel and season card deferrals. Separate helplines could have been used etc.

My experience of the ticket office had been very good since the Swales and Lee eras. People were helpful and went beyond what I expected, eg setting up the ticket office at Wembley before Cup finals. The ticket office leads for the Supporters club have also given great help. From a distance, working in the ticket office seems a pretty thankless task.

FWIW, I have a number of members in my OSC Branch who wish to become season card holders (most already are). I think there is a quite a lot of demand from Blues who would love to be season card holders. Hopefully, these Blues get the chance of a season card.

I assume they can sell them as season tickets for one season? If you do that for your kids maybe it would then put you higher up the pecking order for next season? I assume you may also have an issue of getting them sat with yourself?
