Seasoncard - 2021/22

Not sure if been posted elsewhere. But I have had it confirmed from the club that all turnstiles will close at 20mins after kick off no late entry gate at all.

Not even sure many will be aware of this but if you get stuck in traffic or the tram you might not be getting in
I'd take a wild guess that people will still be trying to enter who arrived pre-kick off by that time.

I'd think it was illegal to not have an open turnstile for late arrivals. In the past they've closed by there was a gate available to gain entry (mate had to use it). It did mean him walking halfway round the round once inside to get to his seat though.

My United mate says that he can send a screen shot of his match ticket to his son who can then get into the game in his absence. Does this work for the City season ticket. I can’t make the Norwich game and want to send ticket to a mate

No.

You have to forward the ticket to your mate who has to have a supporter number and be linked to you via Friends and Family in your account. We don't have instructions on how to forward tickets yet, due next Monday last I heard.

Jesus. We have now moved onto phones getting hacked and people jamming signals round the stadium! Replacing a lost phone and getting it back up and running is easier and quicker than replacing a lost SC.

Another comment on how someone has been going for years and nothing should ever progress because they don’t like change. I’ve had a season ticket for 30 years and don’t have anywhere near the same level of entitlement. They club are literally putting tickets onto a mobile phone, in line with what everyone else is doing. Why do you think this is happening globally? It’s because it’s easier and more convenient plus better for the environment.

Jesus another comment about entitlement. My reply based on that was in response to comments that those of us who are opposed to it should "Stay at home." It's not entitlement it's called loyalty for supporting a brand ( club) that delivered shockingly bad service in its main function, which was entertaining winning football, for decades. However it's customer base( supporters) didn't jump ship to the supermarket( rags) down the road who were providing all that, we stayed loyal. Now our supermarket ( club) is successful it's telling it's loyal customers, "Hey times have moved on, sorry but that's business, we only want forward thinking people now, that little supermarket ( club) down the road though will take your money and let you buy and use a season ticket like you used to, have a nice day!" Okay a bit ott but you get my point. Why shouldn't people who've loyally supported a club for decades feel they deserve a bit of consideration on their viewpoint?

So phones don't get hacked? As more and more personal information is stored on them I'm sure it will become more prevalent. Again for you it might be simple to just go out and spunk another few hundred quid on a new phone that's compatible to let you live your life and have everything downloaded on it and ready to go in an hour, for others it isn't. Judging by the many questions on here about operating one function alone, downloading a seasoncard, that's the case for many not a few.

I've seen many changes over the years, hey our plastic seasoncard replacing the old book was forward thinking at the time. Over my lifetime I've also seen many changes as we all have and adapted so don't be so fucking patronising.

How is it better for the environment? How long does a phone or battery last before it has to be replaced? All that plastic used to build them, all the old phones going in landfill. One small plastic seasoncard could be wiped and used over and over I'm sure.

It has been rushed through instead of eased in and the club have gone back on their word that supporters who weren't happy with it could have a seasoncard, for this season at least. Hey but we'll let you print your tickets at home, you'll just have to buy a printer and some ink, much better for the environment.

Thank you so much, why on earth arnt City putting stuff like this out?

@M147WN was kind enough to offer me a step by step solution to my problem and this thread is awash with similar acts of kindness. Take a bow lads.

These guys are effectively doing supporter services’ job for them unpaid and it begs the question why couldn’t City have set up a live chat line to quickly and easily walk people through solutions to their problems.

Eccles Blue in peace!
I guess City's answer to that would be: We have set up drop in sessions for the next few days two weeks or whatever!

Sorry I realise that that is not the solution for a lot of people who can't get to the stadium for those sessions. For myself I am having to wait until the Eccles tram is back up and running as I can't do the walk up the slope from the car park!! Just hope the lift from the tram stop is working this time! It wasn't last week and by the time I got to the top of the stairs I was done!! :-) :-)
