Seasoncard Amnesty

My guess is that they will have to e-mail the club to let them know who is going to be using the season cards for any match.

Erm. Nope. For many that would have been a straightforward solution but City have now stopped the sharing of season tickets and implemented a photo ID system. Only the person who's name is on the ticket will be admitted to the game.

Having spoken to the club Friday and seeing the statement since, I asked what if I didn’t want to go back during the pandemic? Would my season cards be held for 2021/22 season and it looks as though that’s now the case.
The reason I don’t want to go during this time is I’ve had it, I’ve had it early on pre lockdown and it sucked big time. I dont want it again as I was rough as hell for 3 weeks and even now some 5 months on I am still having issues. I’m not too old at 42 and I wasn’t in an unfit state, but if I can avoid catching it again I’ll do all I can to make sure that’s the case.
I’ve also had to change my dads season card in to my daughters name, he passed away nearly 2 years ago and the club knew of this and were happy to leave it in his name so my father in law could use it or we upgraded it on a match day for my wife to use. Now under 5’s will have to pay (I think that’s wrong to be honest) then it made sense to add my 2 year olds name to the ticket to save money.
It looks like we won’t have to renew if I read it right and our ticket will roll over to 2021/22 if we want or if the stadium opens up fully again? I just can’t see many being at the stadium before 2021. If that’s the case then I may get to go again but while it’s like this I’ll be giving it a wide birth.

Sorry to hear all that fella. Get well soon.

Under fives need to pay, is that for real? I knew they need a ticket but charging for it, are you sure?

Thank you. I was told I’d have to pay for my daughter who is two so yes I’m pretty sure. It’s why I’ve moved it in to her name as he did say it’d not be a huge sum but would be a fee of some sort. He may be wrong but I can only go off what he’s said to me on the phone Friday.

FT are reporting that the Oxford vaccine maybe approved in October. Apparently Trump's officials have briefed top Democrats. Story is in the FT tomorrow. A decision has not been made but the FT reports its under consideration. Obviously a decision complicated by the timing of the US election (Nov.).

I understand why some are positive but the big omission for me (unless I've missed it) is whether, in the absence of us not having season tickets, we will be charged full match price c£50 rather than the season ticket price c£30? Will make a huge difference potentially.

I've posted this a couple of times and got no answers, i pay for 3 cards for myself and kids if it's going to be £150 per game it dosnt matter what City come up with as we Carnt afford to attend :+(

Yes it will be difficult for many if "normal" matchday pricing is used. On the other hand how many times are we likely to be picked out of the ballot? Maybe try and save your usual DD amount each month and use it as a "treat" a couple of times a season if you get lucky in the ballot.

Can't be sure but seem to recall @Prestwich_Blue suggesting it won't be normal match day prices.

So... if I decide not to change my season ticket in to my name for the time being (as i don't want to lose points), post COVID I could attend as normal without having ID?
