Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

We have 30,000 plus season ticket holders now and you think we lost another 20,000. We have never had 50,000 plus season ticket holders.

All clubs have seats on sites mate and that's because we have a good team with good players. Viagogo wasn't interested in city vs walsall
What I said was “from those who were seasoncard holders in the first year at the Etihad”. I didn’t mean that we once had 50k and now have 30k, I mean that we’ve lost 20k of those original Etihad over the years.

Those who’ve dropped away have been replaced, but it’s always core supporters we lose. Like so many of my friends and family who nearly all of them have dropped away due to price rises, all of them just the same kind of blues as me.

10,000 of them were gone after that Pearce season.

It's a well known fact we have 30,000 or more season tickets he quoted the 20,000 who had not renewed not me.

Is it?

30,000 or more? That’s a bit vague isn’t it?

He, who?

So you’re plagiarising another persons possible season ticket numbers?

So ‘you’ don’t know the a actual amount of season tickets, do you?

As far I know, maybe other forum members know different, the club has never been number specific about the actual amount of season ticket holders at City in any one season.

As I’m sure you know, we don’t operate on an equal footing when it comes to press coverage.

A United fan I know for example, swore blind that I was chatting shit that they never opened whole sections of the ground for some of their Europa League games. He genuinely believed that as he’d seen nothing whatsoever about it in the press. Whereas every empty seat at City seems to warrant a 10 page pull out.
Surely he'd have seen the empty seats during the games, unless his seat is in a lower bit of the GPC stand?

Really in two minds about renewing. I'm lucky enough that my seat is one of the cheaper seats up in SS3 so the monthly payments are affordable. However its more a question of how many games i'm actually going to be able to afford to travel to!

I deferred this year, and last game i went to was in 2019. Just had a look at rough train prices now from Edinburgh, and you're now looking at minimum £120 return on an average weekend. On the other hand if i was to drive, following that price hike, it's got to be close to £100 there and back.

Ahhh dilemma!

You've hit the nail on the head Scot. It's not just a season ticket and match day ticket price rise, it's an everything to do with supporting City price rise.

Yet the odd City fan thinks it's great because their season ticket has only gone up by a small amount.(and they probably live local)

What about all the City fans like Scot who travel from all over the country to home games. Petrol, Diesel, Train travel, Coach travel, Food, Drink, Hotel stays, etc costs have all gone through the roof.

Anyway. To lighten the mood.

Some ideas for cheaper season tickets.

The arrive late season ticket. The club will refund you for every minute you've missed of the match due to the queues outside the ground.

The stay on the concourse season ticket. Get a free season ticket and just stay on the concourse for the whole match drinking £4.50 pints of frothy piss.

The leave early season ticket. Only pay for 80 minutes of football with a guarantee of beating the traffic and getting home quicker.
