Seat Count:West Ham United.2400 seats left in the 3rd tiers

I don't think in this day and age we have a big "walk up" crowd , that kiosk for match day sales is always deserted even when the ground isn't full.

I am not too sure of the accuracy of seat counting, i was particularly "sad" last year and counted the sales for the Portsmouth 6-0 game and the crowd looked to be about 42-43000 when in reality it was just over 40,000.

That's it. I'm upgrading abaci

i think the club are selling tickets in the East stand first so the ground looks fuller on TV.... hence the blocks in the west stand vanashing...... i think this is a good idea to be honest !!!!!!!!!

I reckon you might well be right there, it'd make sense

41-42k I'm going for

So is the general consensus that these seats from the dissappearing blocks haven't been sold and it is a bit of tomfoolery on the part of the ticket office and we are looking at 40-42000 tonight instead of 44000 plus.....bored at work hence the counting.

IMO - definitely. I'd be astounded if those blocks in the CB stand had gone so quickly

however another 3 blocks have come back online in the west stand but there are no tickets available in them,,, which would suggest they are sold !!!!

PS , stop justifying your reasons for seat counting mate........ its the future

On the Saturday before the derby I went to Ramsbottom United v Nostell Miners Welfare in an FA Vase Qualifying round and it was dead easy to count during the first half that there were 125 fans there (+ or - 1 or2). But try to beat the official attendance announcement at COMS-ffs no sooner do you think you have counted a row when either some bloater with a sultana pie or 8 foot long hot dog wanders up to fill an empty seat or some lager swilling inconsiderate rises to empty their bladder-not on the spot obviously-Blues have some thought for others and ffs SIT STILL!
