Seat Count:West Ham United.2400 seats left in the 3rd tiers

The seating plan does not include the hosptality seats, but I think you might be right JRB

This is a huge game for City. We have a weakened team, but have half a team nearing full fitness. If we can get 3 points tomorrow it will set us up for an attack on the top 4 or even the title, and you seat-counters will be made redundant - apart from the Cup games.

west ham havnt sold 1500. they have returned 600 to COMS, but still have some at upton park, i had read they had sold 1100, which still means 1850 empties in the away end, stll over 2000 empties in the top tiers, and then allow for the corporate shortfall.

still you are the official seat counter, so your reputation is on the line.

Like said my friend ;-), tomorrow nights attendence will be over 44k. If it's not I'll step down and let somebody else take my place. Onwards and upwards.

I'm ready with an abacus in hand.

what i think everybody forgets is that, at least 2000 of the capacity is taken up by corporate hospitality.

i'll be disappointed with anything less than 45k. somebody made a comparison between
un!ted's league cup attendance on wednesday and ours, suggesting we were both around 25k down on what's expected for a league game. he conveniently overlooked the fact that
(i) un!ted were on telly, (ii) there were no reduced admission prices and (iii) un!ted fans know full well they're going to see a second string side.

some people would have us believe that our fans are the only ones suffering the recession. fact is i know plenty of our supporters that have simply got out of the habit of going and when presented with the opportunity to attend a match they have some poor excuse like "it's my turn to wash the dishes tonight!"

let's just stop embarrassing ourselves on national television and radio, telling everybody we're the best supporters in the land. we're not!

Let's not get into a slanging match on the seat count thread. Everybody is entitled to their opinions. It's not life or death, but I will be disappointed if we don't make at least 44k. Ok, West Ham are only bringing 1500, but surely to God with our league position, players and style of play, we can pull more than 42,500 fans to at least take it over 44k. There's enough support in Manchester, let alone the Uk for that to happen, regardless of it being on a Monday night and on ESPN.

Any ideas what proportion of season ticket holders won't go as well as it is on a Monday night, leaving empty seats?

Well I cant go tomorrow night due to circumstances beyond my control but I offered my ticket to a blue and he snapped my hand off. The support is there but by the same token you cannot condone any blue for not turning up or selling out just because of a good start and the game being on tv. Seen plenty of empty seats at all top 4 clubs during live games and non telivised games so lets not worry because we we dont crack 45k+ every game, we have always had a brilliant support base and always will.

I like watching the posts from the dot counters. It's one of those quirky things that keep life light and help make the world go round.

Keep counting, dot counters.

i think the ticket section is up the wall again..... whole blocks are disapearing .. so wudnt take much notice....

I understand this must be so frustrating for the seat counters...... all i ask is that you dont give up....!!!
