Seat Counters - 2024/25

I'm going but I can't fault anyone not the amount of time energy and especially money people have invested in the club in the last decade is amazing. Recharge the batteries and finances and go again next season.

Wembley semi-finals are expensive and a load of bollocks. While everyone will be excited for the final should we get there, many people cannot afford to go to Wembley twice in a month, so a lot will take a chance and skip the semi. No fan base, including Newcastle's, that is not well-represented in London would consistently sell out Wembley for Community Shields and semi-finals year in year out for the best part of 15 years.

This game should be at Villa Park or Old Trafford.

It’s no different to any other away game in London, and tickets cost 30 quid if you really wanted one. We go to the same grounds every year

The difference is that for every other away game in London, we are only trying to sell 3 thousand tickets, however for the semi-final, we are aiming to sell 30 odd thousand.

Plenty of people are waiting until Monday to pick up tickets together for friends and family.

Too many people simply can’t be bothered to go to a semi final.

I’d like City to include semi final attendance as part of the criteria for a final should we get there. Sales criteria should follow;

Cup scheme + semi final attendance + points
Non cup scheme + semi final attendance + points

Should tickets remain:
Cup scheme + no semi final attendance + points

I hope that's not true. City's crowds at Wembley have been fantastic given the number of times we have been there.

Sales have been slow, but no different to Chelsea or Sheffield in our previous 2 semi finals. It hasn't even gone on sale to all ST holders yet, and loads will be waiting to buy with mates.

So let's all just CALM DOWN, we'll be fine. Yes I'd love if more ST holders would make the trip, but Wembley isn't special for us anymore, so of course you're going to see more people missing out.

And as for the geordies, don't be fooled. If they'd been as many times as us, they'd be faced with the exact same issues.

Everyone I know is going. The 2 out of town supporters clubs near me both are taking coaches and have good numbers going - this is usually a good barometer of a good following. Wemberlee semi final..can't wait for it
Thank God for your post, some optimism.
After reading this thread I rang the Samaritans but they were enagaged.

Why is anyone arsed ,what some desperate bell on twitter says, while watching on skysports again

That’s not going to happen as the club want as many ST holders as possible on the cup schemes. And the main selling point of joining the schemes is to be ‘first in line for final tickets’

I wouldn’t want it anyway. In an extreme example, you could have a bloke who’s not been to a single cup game in his life, home or away, bar the semi, getting a final ticket over someone who hasn’t missed a single game anywhere for years but had to miss the semi.

Chelsea didn’t sell out Villa park in the charity shield against us. We did
I believe that Arsenal regularly used to send thousand of tickets back for Community Shield matches during the years they were held in Cardiff.
It's easy for London clubs to bang on about not selling tickets at Wembley when it's on their doorstep but plenty of examples of them not selling tickets when they have to travel.

The one Rag season ticket holder I know told me they did that.
He didn't go to their semi in 2023 and missed out on seeing the fastest goal in FA cup final history.

I know mate. I think some prefer being shit.
Certainly some of our fans seem to revel in negativity. Supporting City is not compulsory. It's a free choice. If you can't go to Wembley for your own personal reasons that's fine. But don't try and drag everyone else down. Everyone I know is going. You never know how long you will wait for the next Wembley visit.
