Seat Counters - 2024/25

He’s got every reason to want more from the crowd. Our home support is regularly terrible.

Forget about the tourists, new fans, etc, there’s at least 30,000 ‘proper’ fans in the ground. The majority don’t actually support the team until we are 4 up. Same as at Maine Road where the sound of moaning was often louder than the chants.
To be honest I think it’s the other way round. When we struggle the crowd are better and we stroll it’s flat as a pancake.

I’m thinking of “hoarders” who attend half or fewer Prem games.

There is a another issue of some Blues seeing we are playing shite and pressed the Ticket Exchange button.

I’m all for cheaper match day tickets. I’m just pointing out that there are other issues affecting the crowd, as well as price. The occasional fans are just going to fill in the gaps when they can see us against Liverpool in a few weeks.
If there's really high individual match prices and reasonably priced season tickets it's inevitable that even people who are looking to attend half or fewer Prem games will buy season tickets.

The root cause of most of this is the obscenely high prices for individual Premier League games which will also give City a dilemma if they are getting thousands of tickets back 3 weeks before Southampton at home in midweek of whether to sell the tickets cheaper at that point.

And how much extra are City actually making by selling Everton at home at 12.30pm for £70 rather than £35?

It’s prices and current, shocking form. We’ve also been spoilt with an incredible amount of success. It’s not just just about price. Saying that, match day tickets should be significantly cheaper IMHO.

The Etihad has never had a good atmosphere, no matter who was in it. Might got the odd Hamburg like game in a season but the stadium has never been consistently loud.
The Poznan season on the terraces was great for most home games. There’s never been a better sight in the PL than 50,000+ City fans doing the Poznan. It shits all over YNWA.

When was the last time the whole Etihad did it!

Don’t agree with “never had a good atmosphere” at all - there have been plenty down the years. The consistent part, yeah, you’re probably right, mainly due to the fact that there’s one stand in the ground that consistently sings. The other three stands offer very little, I see no reason why there shouldn’t be an organic, passionate atmosphere In those stands, especially considering the football we’ve been privileged to watch.
