Seat Counters - 2024/25

Fans on here have constantly posted how they have tried to start chants off, but people around them just look at them in silence, or even tell them to shut up. When you are surrounded by tourists, day trippers, football fans, people who do not support City, but are just there for the match, how do you expect songs to get started in other parts of the ground, apart from SSL1, and blocks 111,110, 109?

When City played Hamburg the whole stadium was supporting the team.

Soriano and his team have sanitised the Etihad, filling seats once filled with legacy fans, with tourists, day trippers, football fans, and fans of other clubs that City are playing on the night, Real Madrid. Feyenoord, etc.

City’s match ticket selling model is based on Barcelona’s, Real Madrid’s etc. Price out legacy fans, and fill those seats with new and wealthier City fans, and football fans, who will pay more for a seat.

I agree with almost everything you said and the club are certainly letting us down.

My point was that but you can’t blame the poor vocal support on tourists alone. Everyone reading this knows that most of our ‘proper’ fans mostly don’t make a sound.

Very true mate

....which why it is so important that SSL3/2 is all City and makes a racket above the away scroates in the shit seats of ESL110 & 111.
Interesting that Brighton have exactly the opposite opinion and are moving the away fans and splitting them across 2 tiers to “quieten them down”. 3 thousand all in one block would make a lot more noise than split over 3 tiers as they are now. And I doubt the people currently in 110/111 think they’re in “shit seats” as presumably that’s where they chose to be? Anyway, just my opinion, and not worth a row as it’s never gonna happen anyway.

Sad to say it, but apart from key matches we ard pretty unimpressive...I'm SS level 1, and we generate a lot of songs but it's hardly the Wall of Sound that many teams seem to be able to generate...the Hamburg game all those years ago the Real game a couple of seasons back and the start of the Derby last week...otherwise we need to up our game and get behind the team more consistently, not just crowing when we are 4-0 up ffs

That is why the PL regulated teams had to keep pitch side seats as clubs wanted to get them far away from pitch like Newcastle do and Mu do to a lesser extent, and Sunderland started doing in the last 4 seasons or so against us. Villa did it thinning out the fans near the pitch with more in the upper tier.

110 are mainly are £915 compared to back of third tier which struggle to sell the most being £425. The someone who doesn't have a season ticket wants to turf out pitch side home fans creating an way section with under 2,000, needing the tier 2 seats and part of 9320 to make up the numbers, the £1,425 shit seats.

What is forgotten is that the back of tier 3 SS is 60m further from the pitch than SS1 row 1, and that is before the height is taken into account.
