Seat Counters - 2024/25

It's slightly odd that they stopped selling tickets for this on Friday yet the game isn't until Sunday afternoon and given that the ticket goes straight onto your mobile phone I wonder why.

I assume it’s for policing/security/segregation reasons? To give them time to plan ahead etc?
I'm putting it down to not giving a shit about fans, in which case the decision could be by either the FA or City.
The segregation argument doesn't hold water unless Forest are getting a few more tickets, so it makes no sense unless they are planning to cover the seats in unsold blocks with large banners. Or they could paint faces on the tarpaulins to make it look like we'd sold out.

It will be something stupid like not wanting to open unused blocks, pay stewards not needed or order pies that will be unsold.

Football fuckwittery at it's finest.

And this year's Cup Final ko time is yet to be confirmed!

We know the date but not the time.

It might not seem like a big deal but it matters to those who will use public transport when trying to get cheaper travel tickets.

Fucking wankers the FA, It's meant to be their showpiece final yet it all boils down to who makes the final and to decide the best tv time!

Soulless money grabbing cunts!
Can't disagree with any of that. There are only four possibilities for the final so the KO time should have been announced as soon as the semi-final draw was made.
This season it's even easier as Villa and Forest are a similar distance from Wembley and Palace are in London so can cope with any stupid time the FA come up with.
Meanwhile FA executives are seeing which KO time will lead to maximum broadcast income and not giving a shit about match-going fans.

After the last FA Cup lift I left, like a lot of other City fans did. I couldn't stomach the cheese fest blasting out on the speakers. Each to their own. I'm sure a lot of fans don't mind that and want to see the players celebrating on the pitch in-front of the fans afterwards.
I want a re-design of the north stand at Wembley. It would have a Royal Box similar to the old stadium and the players could get the cup within five minutes of the final whistle.
Then down the steps, a couple of photos ON THE GRASS NOT ON A BLOODY STAGE and straight into the lap of honour. The amount of fannying around is ridiculous, as it is whenever we get a PL trophy presentation at home.

We park at the same guys house for the last 15 visits. Originally through park on my drive.com. now just a £18 bank transfer. 10 mins walk to the west end part of the stadium. CTID

I read this and laughed out loud mate. The word that stands out above all others for me is "last"!!!!

"The last 15 visits"!! For those of us that couldn't sleep for days before the debacles of the quarter finals against Liverpool, Blackburn or West Ham, the number of times we've been to Wembley still makes me shake my head in disbelief!!!

I remember the hours I spent before the West Ham game, trying to work out how I'd fly back to and from Spain for the semi in Cardiff. Obviously, I'd never taken into account the fact that we might get further than the fourth round when booking my family hols!!!

Enjoy it Blues, you never know if it's your last visit!!!

Nice bit of loyalty to the drive owner. I park in the same area every time but not the same house.
I'm using the Chiltern Line (probably from Warwick Parkway) on Sunday though as I sprained my ankle falling off a ladder a couple of weeks ago and want a shorter walk. I'll drive to the final if we play Villa as the Chiltern Line will be full of their mob.

Fantastic post, far too much crap, I loved e I adio we won the cup. To be fair I think football fans are being far orchestrated by the powers. Cmon City.

Out of interest I looked at prices for Travel lodges in the area on the dates for the final as I've often stayed over on Friday and Saturday night. Predictably for the Friday it's around £80....for the Saturday £200+! They can fuck off.
Though if Palace reach the final and ourselves demand for hotels may fall.

Unfortunately a lot of truth here.

Where exactly would a neutral ground for our game be, Villa Park?

With segregation the capacity would be down to about 38k!

You can't just say play every game at the Swamp.
Apart from anything else it would trigger comments from southern club fans similar to those we make having to trek to London.

What can be done though is sensible and considerate ko times and even better transport options instead of putting hundreds of fucking coaches on!
Spot-on. These days Villa Park is a total shithole in an area which is a shithole. Train and road access is terrible. Our Comms Shield there with Chelsea was nowhere near sold out (because of Chelsea fans). Wembley (or Cardiff for a change of scene) is the only option at present. It's symbolic of the chronic state of UK infrastructure that no stadia outside London are big enough.

Hi there. Does anybody now which blocks are not full and seats left? Managed to get sorted with some tickets in block 543 but up very high. If there are free seats hoping to get down a bit lower. Anyone know what view like from up there? Thanks
It can become a bit blurry you are that high up. Im the same as you though i will wait for it to fill up and then head further down or change blocks that are free you will be fine.

Have it at Stoke, Leeds or Sheffield. Quality over quantity and a much better atmosphere.

The Chiltern line direct to Wembley Stadium is the way to go. Lots of parking and cheap hotels in places like Wycombe and only 20 to 30 minutes straight to the ground. You are right though I used it for the last Villa final and their once-a-year fans were feral scum. Worst than the scousers. The Milton Keynes route is also great for cheap hotels on the route. The train also takes about 30 minutes to Euston and costs about £10 to return. Lots of Blues use that route for London aways. MK has lots of parking (though not so cheap).

Yep, used the Chiltern line from Denham on the advice of bluemooners. Straight off the M40, park at the station, no problems. Oh, just that you need a uni degree to use the ticket machine if no one is manning the office.

For all blues who are a little embarrassed or shamed ?
about what other fans think of our quite remarkable following for the semi final under the circumstances ,I’ll leave this here

The transport infrastructure is what needs sorting and should have been sorted decades ago.
Manchester to London is 163 miles on the train and the trains can do 125MPH. If we assume an average speed of 100MPH, a direct, non stop train should take 1hr 40 mins.
Imagine running them, once an hour, until 0100 every day. Then, when northern teams are at Wembley, you could run non stop to and from Watford in 1hr and 25 minutes. It’s really not complicated but the willingness to keep most of this country as a transport backwater, whilst banging on about climate change and reducing emissions is staggering.

That's it. Couldn't have explained it better.

Have had in previous years..sick of hearing this whinging excuses,I'm far from rich, but will move heaven and earth to follow City..clue is in the term SUPPORTER
A following Mansfield Town would be proud of
So about 27500 sold.
Makes you wonder what is the point, totally demoralising, We have to be the worst fan base in English football. City Till I Die, subject to contract.
Indeed, I will be there as will my mates for the 28th time. The irony is many of the fans who choose not to go are the same fans that whine when they get called plastic or when fans call us out for having empty seats. We have some shocking 'fans'. It's choice not money. Forest have sold 36,000, so don't tell me it's money. Its ' I can't be arsed' plain and simple....
I take it you lot are all going to the Club World Cup in America?
