Seat Counters - 2024/25

Alex.

I’m not having a go at you mate, as I know you do your best for the fans.

That fact that you’ve already asked on a few occasions and not been given that information, and have to ask again, tells you and us everything we need to know.

City won’t release those away ticket % details because they don’t want to. The club know if they do, the away going fans, and fans who want away tickets, but can’t get them as they are getting harder to get, would be furious. And even if the club did tell you and the other CMR, it would come with another NDA.

The people running the club don’t want to share any information like that with the fans. It’s the clubs business model. That is how the club has been run for years. You only have to look at the deliberate lack of ticketing and seating information regarding the new North stand. Again, I’m not having a go at you and the other CMR, but you can’t tell us what you know because the club have slapped a NDA on you, and you are obliged to go along with it.

City is and has been run like a secretive company for a long time. Only telling the fans what they need to know and nothing more, as and when the club see’s fit to make that information avaialble to the fans. And even then the information is clearly heavily vetted before being made public.

You’re doing a great job sticking up for the fans and trying to get honest information and answers from the club, but the club is tying your hands and gagging you, as well as the other CMR.

The secretive way the club is being run has come from the very top, either Khaldoon or Soriano. It can’t be anyone else, bar both of them or either of them.
I don’t disagree with any of that pal. My term is up in six months anyway, so figure it best to fight the cause until then.

Sadly we’re going to lose our best CMR then, meaning the club will have an even easier time of keeping everything secret, and not engaging with the fans.

These decisions are being made way above his pay grade.
That being the case he may be able to point you in the right direction.

These issues must continue to be pushed to the highest and most appropriate level.

Amongst many others i received an email questionnaire which I feel was a reaction to the welter of criticism.

Some of the questions were definitely loaded to get to the bottom of the issues of ticket prices, allocations, away fan location.

I think they’ve been rattled !!

That’s a shame mate. There might be others, but it seems like your the only rep who’s sticking up for our fans.

Hopefully, if you’re up for it, you can continue to support our fans in some way as you’ve made a difference

I think you are quite aware who is above Danny's pay grade.
They are the ones making these decisions and are based entirely on making money for the club.

Couple that with losing Toddy of the last City matters committee.
Solid Citizens on Facebook seems to be the best outlet now,but unfortunately the club probably won't engage with them aswell.
Until all the various groups come together the club will do as they please

I don’t know too much about any of them, but we’ve got a season ticket rep who refused to sign the letter criticising the season ticket price increases because she was personally happy with hers.
That’s the level of representation we appear to have, especially now with Alex going.

As it happens, I’ve asked for the bold on a fair few occasions. I have already informally done so again given recent occurrences at Anfield, but will do so more formally on the record.

Thanks for the reply. I admire your perseverance but it’s clearly not going to happen.

Just out of interest, what exactly was their reply when you asked them previously? Or did they just look out of the window and pretend they hadn’t heard you?

Sad to hear Alex will be leaving - feel he is the only one at CM sticking up for supporters but can understand it seeming pointless.

the idea the club want to try out an away ticket pick up is a complete piss take. They must think we were born yesterday - let’s try and blame supporters for passing on tickets to deflect from the hundreds going straight to agencies from the club.

If they had nothing to hide they would explain the exact distribution.

@Alex - City Matters

I'm surprised you didn't resign after the club shamefully stone-walled your excellent report on the Istanbul fiasco.

I think you know how well you are thought of on here, a lone voice for us mere mortals, amongst a sea of self-serving City suits.
The Super League fiasco.
The Istanbul fiasco.
The Liverpool email fiasco.
The Real Madrid ticket fiasco.
Etc
When the people running City get it wrong, they get it horribly wrong.
I dread to think how lame City Matters will become when Alex steps down.

IIRC City were one of the last clubs to get involved with that super league crap.

Until the club is open and transparent as to where the away ticket allocation goes, all other dialogue is futile.
They won’t do that as they’re selling 30% of away tickets to reseller websites. That’s the figure out of the ticket office anyway. Until the club provide an official breakdown, I’m willing to believe them.

What are you willing to believe ?

Had an email saying ST's can buy 3 tickets for Everton, surprising considering its boxing day. Logged in to have a look and cheapest tickets are £66. Not so surprising.
Boxing Day used to be one of the big bumper attendances of the season. You could always bank on BD being a sell out.

If it was £40 for adults and £20 for kids it would sell out quickly and you’d hope to locals. It’s £66 for adults and £48 for kids though, who can afford that as a family at this time of year?
