Seat Counters - 2024/25

Depends what your definition of modern is I suppose. Mine is anything after about 1992 when Sky ruined it.

We weren’t involved much because we were shit. But ITV had some pretty fan unfriendly kick offs in the 80s. Friday nights and early Sundays.

We often played Leeds and Chelsea 11am-1130am about 40 years ago. Early kick off to prevent a kick off.

Swansea was 11 years ago, NYE 5.45pm v Liverpool in 2016 not great either.
We had Arsnl away the other year NYD 12:30ko , i drove down left at 4AM ,roads were deserted, rodders late winner, couldn't touch a drop NYE but we'll worth it.

The worst kick off time ever was that 11.30 v Everton on a Sunday when we got pushed back to be on TV. Could not even go to mass! It was fcking freezing and like an ice park around the Etihad. I was more happy getting home from that in one piece than a lot in the 70s.
Monster Fact that was 2 October 2005 1115, and we a 1130 5 October 1985 almost 20 years earlier.

1532 left for Everton
You always get a lot of exchange tickets around the holiday period due to people away with family. These almost always sell though, as many people will be visiting Manchester to be with family.

It'll be interesting to see if these exchange tickets sell out, as the prices are insane

Live games in the 80s on tv ? I remember Chelsea live on a Friday 84 and rags 1-1 86 that's about it.

Both the BBC and ITV showed live league games from ‘83 onwards. I think one channel was Friday nights and the other Sunday afternoons. It wasn’t every week. But regular enough.

Everyone makes their own choices. Quite rightly: That said, all the excuses for not attending the Boxing Day game (except Blues that have been priced out) reveal something about what’s wrong with modern football.

I give some credit for honesty to some Blues who say they can’t be arsed going because we are on a losing run. That said, 300 and odd tickets left, mainly singles, after Blues were guaranteed their money back on the Ticket Exchange indicates it’s going to be pretty much a sell out.

I hope we make an exciting signing or two in the January transfer window that could lift our squad.
Am sure the agencies will be sending loads back to City

I don’t think that it will sell out given the latest figures.

I reckon a lot of the Ticket Agency tickets would have sold (not all) cos many fans would assume it would sell out with it being Boxing Day.
